5.0 out of 5 stars Great product for the money
I was very satisfied with this product. I've had it for a few months now, and I use it regularly. It is cheap in price, but it functions just the same as some of the more expensive circular balance boards. It is simple, takes little space, and easy to use. It's big enough for both feet to fit on easily.

The only thing that I have to point out is that on...

2.0 out of 5 stars Bit Slippery
Size was fine, but I found that the top surface was too slippery for me to stay on top of barefoot (which I prefer) or in my normal shoes. I could stay on top of it with sneakers, but it was more aggravation than it was worth so I'm trading in for a different model. Seemed to be good value for the cost if you don't mind wearing sneakers while balancing.

I was very satisfied with this product. I've had it for a few months now, and I use it regularly. It is cheap in price, but it functions just the same as some of the more expensive circular balance boards. It is simple, takes little space, and easy to use. The only thing that I have to point out is that on Amazon's product description, it says the board supports 300lbs, but I seem to recall that it said on the box (which I have lost) that it only supports 250. I may have remembered wrong, but that seems to be the case.

Overall, this is a nice, quality product for improving your balance and musculature of your legs and core, therefore rendering it five stars from me. Even if you aren't using it for fitness, it's a great item to have laying around just for fun. Almost everyone that I know who sees my board has wanted to play on it.

I really worried that this plastic disk would snap under my rather considerable weight but it has done just fine. There were a few scary creaks at first, but careful inspection showed no cracks--it was just new board and the creaks went away. It's a great balance board, my only complaint is the traction bumps require that I wear shoes while using this. I understand the need for traction, but I wish it were comfortable to use barefoot. The traction bumps are really big.

Because of the way it's designed I think it makes a great beginner as well as intermediate board. I think even an advanced balance board user wouldn't be unhappy with this board--the "ball" underneath is designed in such a way as to be friendly to all user levels in my opinion.

I have found that it's easier to use on our area rug, when I want the exercise to be more difficult, moving it to the hardwood does the job. This probably goes for most balance boards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful product, December 13, 2010
This review is from: Reebok Balance Board (Sports)
I bought this product to help with a problem I have with my feet. It is durable - I weigh over 220 lbs and supports my weight well. It is good for both bslance and strengthening the intrinsic muscles of the feet. Inexpensive for this type of product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for use with standing desk, October 18, 2011

Sturdy, durable. I'm using it with a standing desk at work and I can already feel a difference after a few days...my abs hurt! :D
Took a few hours of use to get used to, but I'm now comfortably standing on it and typing this review.

Can be a bit tricky to use with stocking feet---- if I decide to use it that way frequently, I may put bathtub friction stickers on it.

The one thing it doesn't have that I could imagine folks wanting is the ability to adjust to make it more difficult. However, as I purchased it knowing it didn't adjust, the rating is still a 5.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for work!, August 26, 2011

If you have a desk that raises so you can work while standing, this board is perfect!
Everyone knows that your stomach muscles will begin to weaken if you're stuck at a desk for several years. Balance boards and exercise balls (for sitting) are GREAT for combating this. PLUS, I lost at least an inch on my waistline, simply because my stomach muscles firmed up. ...I started using the balance balls and boards to help me get in to a bridesmaid dress. Worked. Well, that and cutting down on my soda intake. :-)

I would definitely recommend this product to my patients/clients--although this purchase is for me. The balance board is sturdy--yet when I first stepped on it, it did creak. Possibly objecting to my weight, but that was the first and last creak. The board worked as advertised and worked just fine. While the balance board's height is not adjustable, the height it is just fine for this senior. The diameter of the product is big enough, with room to spare, for this tall woman who has size 11 feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for what I needed, April 1, 2011

After dealing with nagging shin splits, my physical therapist recommended I get a balance board to work on calf strength. This one is reasonably priced compared to others, and gets the job done. The ball as the base enables you to work in all directions. I'd definitely recommend if you don't want to drop the 60-70 bucks on an original wobble board.

The balance board was exactly what I thought it would be. It works great for the exercises I need to do. It was a better price than I could find them in the store for (when I could find one).
Thank you,
Kathy

4.0 out of 5 stars Balance board, August 7, 2011

I bought this board to help recover my balance after a stroke. It's great for my purposes but may be a bit light weight for someone over 180# (I'm 150#). The bottom is rounded so it's more challenging than the square bottom boards and shouldn't be used on a tile or wood floor: it spun out on me on my first attempt to use it. Good for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple Parkour Balance Training, May 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Reebok Balance Board (Sports)
i know its a balance board and i'm supposed to stand on it with both feet, one foot, or do squats on it for balance training.

unlike other balance boards, this one is fairly inexpensive and well made. some people say that it swivels, but actually, it WILL swivel if one side of your body is weaker then the other side, making it turn, as you struggle to stay balanced.

now onto the parkour training! anyone that imitates me and gets injured in the process, i am not held responsible. i am only explaining what i do with my boards. and it HAS made me stronger and more well balanced. i bought several of these for my usage.

i was able to tone my core with standing on them with both feet, then one foot at a time. then i got bored and started jumping while on them, jumping in a 360 circle and landing on them, then trying not to teeter. then jumping onto them from a few feet away from the ground and standing there balanced. and then.... i decided that i would use them for my parkour conditioning........

i place each one about 5-8 feet apart on a smooth surface. while standing on one, i eye my next landing spot and jump with both feet onto another one. the surfaces wobble, so it took a few tries before i was able to land on them w/o the platforms skidding off or me landing on them, but having to hop off forwards afterwards. after a while, i place one onto a higher surface and repeat. i noted the weight maximum was 250, but i do not recommend jumping on them if you're anywhere near that weight, as i would assume that they would break if done so. i'm near the 150 mark, and its been ok so far.
