I first purchased this running shoe back in 2002, to use for softball. I didn't want a shoe with cleats that might make me jamb my foot and hurt my lower back. The soul of this shoe was just what I needed. Enough grab on grass and sand/dirt to keep from slipping and slidding. They wear well...once a week for 8 years, and still sevicable, lowers and leather uppers. I just purchased a new pair, in 2010, and hope I can play for another 8 years. That'll make me 75..a kid on the block, here.
