The ball itself is fine. It's got sand in the bottom so it stays put when you have it on the floor working with it that way. Note: With the sand inside it, the ball gets heavier, so watch it when you're lifting it over your head because if you're a klutz like me, you'll throw it up thinking it's light and hit yourself in the head because it's not a lightweight ball...lol. Anyway, I was displeased with the packaging. Alot of the sand had come out of it and as a result, I got sand all over my floor.

The "stickiness" that was previously mentioned, I actually liked about it because it helps you keep a grip on the ball even in intense workouts.
