Bought these for my son who is a lineman (center) in football. Nice gloves and well made. They do run a bit large though.

My son plays both DE and RT on an 8th grade team. I got him a pair of these in 2010 and they held up just fine all season long and provide good padding on the hands while keeping hands warmer when the weather cools off. Since they worked so well last year, I purhcased another pair this year so that he could use the old pair in practice and new pair in games, after only one game the new pair completely ripped apart between the thumb and first finger on the right hand and are now junk. While I understand that the gloves take a large amount of abuse, they should at least last an entire season... Our first pair has (and is still going), our second pair lasted only a single game.

Purchased two pair of these padded linemen gloves for my son (Defensive End/Linebacker) in the middle of season after he lost original pair on the team bus. A black pair and grey pair thinking they would last to the end of my son's high school season. The grey pair ripped at the inseam (along the stitching of the front side and the between the thumb and index finger in the first quarter of the game. Thinking this might be user error, in the 2nd game even after taping up the fingers on a (2nd pair) new pair. This happen again TWICE in two games, this has to be a manufacturing defect. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT unless you need driving or bicycling gloves. NOT INTENDED FOR COMPETITION PLAY.
Two out of Three failures is not bad Right,,,, WRONG. Simply WORTHLESS. Still 4 games left.
