I could not have asked for a better gift. I have searched years for the perfect one. Great craftmanship and very spacious. This chest has more than enough room to accomodate my growing collection for years to come and potentially become a family heirloom.

I've been searching for a pretty, functional, quality-built jewelry chest for my daughters.

After having been disappointed with the Mele product I purchased and returned (it was lightweight and put together poorly with a nick and discoloration mark on the top and front of the chest), I took a chance on this one.

I am not disappointed!

The chest is heavy, obviously well crafted, with a lovely interior and exterior finish.

Thank you Reed & Barton for restoring my faith in being able to find a jewelry chest I'll be proud to give as a gift. It's truly lovely!

I bought this as a present for my wife as her current one was smaller and had the necklaces stored in the folding lid.

She loves the new box and after untangling her necklaces, they now hang tangle-free in the side compartments. (One necklace may have to go to the jeweler to get untangled!)

It's a high quality box that had a perfect finish with no dings or blemishes. It was packed with lots of padding and was double-boxed to ensure it arrived in great condition.

Your lady will love this!

This is a beautiful and well constructed jewelry chest. It has a large amount of space and all of it is nicely designed to hold different size/shape pieces.

I have been looking for a jewelry chest for awhile. I found one at Kohl's, but it was flimsy and badly made. It had defects, so I returned it and ordered this one. The difference is astonishing! This seems to be made like good furniture, it has heft, and it will last a lifetime. Worth the extra.

Seems to mew this thing is just a touch overpriced. I mean, the first one came in pieces so I got to see what they're made of, and it ain't wood, of course. A wood by-product, and from the ease which I crushed it between my fingers not a very well engineered wood by-product.

Aaaanyway, the replacement came and it EXPLODED! Totally serious - I opened it and was going to set all my wife's jewelry in it, and it blew up into a million pieces! Almost took my hand off, man, and broke two windows! Started the curtains on fire! We can't find about two thirds of the cat! IT WAS TERRIBLE!

Not really. I set it up and put all my wife's jewelry in it and IT CAME TO LIFE!!! IT BIT ME!!! ZOMBIE JEWELRY CHEST!!!

Not really. I closed it up after I put all three pieces of my wife's jewelry in it and it just sat there. That's all it did. Oh, it held the jewelry, like it totally did that part you know, but, hey, it was just sitting there, all just right there sitting there, you know, sitting.

And I said to myself "I paid how much for this cheap thing? You'd think it would give me a back rub."

Upside, it holds jewelry, and it appears to do that quite well. I mean, it hasn't peed on the carpet or bitten the mailman yet, so there that is.

Downside, I know what it's made of, and it's made of poorly engineered wood by-product garbage filler stuff, that's what.

So it's like, nice looking, expensive, and made of junk.

So anyway, TL;DR - It didn't really blow up and no backrub for me.

BTW - my wife likes it. She didn't give me a backrub either though. Shoulda told her how expensive it was, I reckon.
