If - like me - you have struggled for years trying to make decent reeds (american scrape), this is the book for you! The authors guide you painlessly through their step-by-step method. NOTHING is left out, and the chapters are carefully arranged so that you can quickly find what you need. My VERY FIRST reed using this method was performance quality!The book is spiral bound so it stays open at the page you need while you're scraping - a simple but neat idea. Some highlights: * How to sharpen your knife * How to crow CORRECTLY (and understand what you hear!) * Tying on without cracks or leaks * Get a working reed from the crow alone this book is worth every shekel! |
