There is so much information in this book that I would call it a must have. It will save you so much time and heartache. Learn from the people who have gone through the problems and solved them to save you time and money. Eric has done something no one else has, that is ask the regular person who has solved their issues on the right way to raise salt water fish. Must, must, must!!!!

I have 25 years of fresh water experience, but I am just starting out with a new 165 gallon reef tank, Eric's book is a godsend. It contains interviews with real life successful reef aquariums owners and having the guidance of their vast experience is wonderful. I learned so much from each one of the contributors that I really feel far more confident in the choices I am making with my own tank. This is not just one of those glossy coffe table books. It is a working resource. Eric has also been extremely helpful on a personal level, getting me started with the tools on his website that further educate everyone on how to create and maintain a successful reef tank. I would recommend this book to anyone who desires to enjoy the process of giving a home to beautiful corals and saltwater fishes. It was a very wise investment for me.

The book really does have a lot of good information layed out in a very easy to digest question and answer format. So it truly is a shame that the print quality of this book makes it look like it was done on a home inkjet printer set to draft mode. The simple truth here is that the pictures actually hurt my eyes to look at. They seem fuzzy and "off". If I had a Kindle, this would be a fantastic read. The print version is absolutely not worth the price. They really shoudln't even bother making the rest of this series in print form.
