Best sandals i've ever owned in my life. Reef makes top notch sandals, the last pair I had lasted over eight years. I had to buy a new pair because they literally rotted of my feet. They lasted all through the time I was a lifeguard, deployed to the Middel East, and just everyday wear and tear. This new pair feels better, fits great, and just all around meets the expectaions I have of Reef and its products.

As if there is another flip flop could offer the style, comfortable, and mobility of the Mick Fanning sandal. The leather version of a very popular sandal is exactly what any avid wearer would appreciate.

The sandal is sleek and looks good on a well maintained foot. They are true to size so if you wear a 12, order the 12.

Overall, you cannot and will not go wrong with this great sandal. It hugs the foot very well, provides great heel support, and the church-key hidden perfectly in the sole will be a great topic of any party or gathering. Great job with the development of a great flip flop that even the snobbiest would find pleasure to sport.

I walked twelve miles in my Reefs today. I walked seven miles yesterday in them, and ten the day before. My feet have thick tan lines where the straps are, and not a single blister. My other pair of flip-flops destroys my feet, dying my soles black and cracking my skin. These don't; they're comfortable, even for walking long distances.

The only problem is that they can get very, very smelly, even though my feet are traditionally non-odorous. I wonder what it is about them that makes them seem to retain odor.

Still, a wonderful buy and well worth it.

Ok, so I ordered the Reef Phantoms on here a while ago, and they were the most comfortable flip-flop I've ever owned to date. I went a half size up from my shoe size; 8.5 to 9, because I read sandals should be a size larger than your shoe. They fit perfectly to say the least. Then I had my brother order these for me, and I just received them yesterday. I got the white and brown because they are just stylin'; what can I say? What I did not expect is the leather is pure rawhide leather! Awesome flip-flops, but rough leather on the top of my feet with no socks is pretty uncomfortable. I think once these are broken in they will end up being my favorite sandals ever. The leather actually grips my toes and feet a little better than the synthetic material on the Phantoms, so mainly its a matter of getting used to the chafing on the top of my feet (the only reason I gave these four stars instead of five,) and wearing the leather down to a softer texture for more walking comfort. On top of that, judging by the durability of these (finer stitching, better molding, etc.,) these will probably last 5+ years where I think I'll be lucky to get 3 years out of the Phantoms. All in all, I love Reef sandals, and as soon as I get used to these, they will be five stars to me.

These are great. My husband would never wear flip flops now I can't get him to take these off.

I bought a size 12 in these, since I usually wear 11.5 or 12 in most everything. These fit very well, not too snug and not loose at all. They are very soft and comfortable and well worth the price. The quality seems to be very durable. I would definitely recommend these to anyone and I will probably buy another pair in a different color soon.

I love these sandals and wear them all the time. A good portion of my friends have said they're unattractive, but that doesn't really matter to me considering how comfortable they are. I've not yet used the bottle opener on the bottom, but it's a pretty convenient tool if you don't have one otherwise.

Just be warned, the sole WILL get very dirty unless you scrub it frequently.

I got these sandals about a month ago and I love them. They are by far the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. I love the bottle opener on the bottom, even if my girlfriend thinks its kind of gross. :-}

Best sandals I ever bought and I have at least 50 pairs to match my clothes. Wearing them on the sand on the beach, on the cement, on the tar, on gravel, just about anywwhere and your in comfort. I have used them all (I bought 3 different pairs) and they are just perfect. No blisters, not cuts, no scrathes and for someone diabetic who needs to make sure they take care of their feet due to gangarene, these are the best. Buy them...you'll love them.

These Leather Reef Fannings are fantastic and ultra comfortable, esp once you break them in. I usually wear a size 9.5 or a 10 but have noticed with the fanning flops to get the arch right, it's best to stay in your range. So I would be a size 9 fanning. I tend to order 10's usually but have noticed that with these Fannings the arch support feels dead on this way. I still have more than enough room left over in the front and the heel. My feet do not hang off or exceed the flop in anyway.

I also like these better than the synthetic Fannings as the leather molds better to your feet; just dont get these wet if you can help it. (esp salt water)


There seems to be inconsistencies however with these sandals as I had to go through 2 different sets first.

The first I purchased were at a Mall store. The right sandal straps were cut weird and the inner strap would cut into my foot constantly on the front facing side. The sizing also on the right sandal felt odd as though the sandal was smaller or the arch support was off somehow. I returned them for a refund as that store had no replacements in my size.

Then I found some here on Amazon and ordered those. Yet again, the right sandal was a lemon. However this time the sandal when worn would sit unnaturally diagonal on my foot so as I walked the sandal turned slightly sideways and as my heel came down it would land half way off the heel. (right flop pointing outside direction) It seems as though the straps on this shoe were set incorrectly. I also noticed that the straps were amazingly loose on the right sandal and found it difficult to keep the sandal on if I walked at a brisk pace.

I knew these issues were the sandals as I had tried on a pair of synthetic's at a local store and they were perfect in that regard. However, I had my mind set on the leather version. With the synthetic Fannings, the heel seem solid and have no cushion. The leather versions I have tried seem contrary to this. They have moderate cushion that give just a little but nothing annoying like a sanuk. They feel perfect in this regard.

So rather then eat return shipping costs, I decided to give it one more try and informed Amazon of the problems. They sent out a replacement pair 1 day shipping. When it arrived I noticed the paper insert you often find inside new shoes had been removed from the right sandal. Which was perfect, that means someone actually took the time to pull out the right sandal and most likely tried them on to make sure I would not experience further issues with the right sandal. I think that is absolutely awesome and just another thing that sets Amazon above the rest.

So the third pair fit perfectly, no more issues with the right sandal and after wearing them daily for a week I can't wait to slide my foot in them again. They fit like a glove and feel fantastic.
