Reef Men's BYOB Slide Sandal

I bought a pair of these on vacation in Hawaii out of necessity (managed to destroy my Teva's), and now I swear by the Reef BYOB. It is without a doubt the most comfortable shoe I own. No annoying "thong" straps between my toes, a perfectly contoured foot pocket, and a wide neoprene-like strap across the top of the foot that is extremely comfortable. The shoe stays snug on the foot, and doesn't slip off like you might expect with this style. I have worn these shoes all summer, almost all day each day, and they still look like new once sprayed with a hose. The soles are wearing great, and there is no noticable wear on the heal pocket or upper strap. If it wasn't for me dragging my toes now and then these shoes would pass for new. The bottle opener on the bottom is not just a gimmick either. Last night I was at a baseball game (the Padres) and the vendor forgot to remove the top from my beer bottle. Lickety split I was able to open up my bottle, and those of my friends, and get on with business. :) Great shoe, very comfortable, and will last you forever. You can't beat it.

This is my third pair of Reef slide-style sandals over the past 6 years and each pair was a little different. While I think the footbed on this pair is slightly more supportive, the strap has gotten worse so I like this pair the least. The strap seems slightly wider (measured from the top to bottom of the sandal) than before and it doesn't breath well since the perforations in the neoprene on top don't go all the way through. The strap would benefit from some mesh inserts which I had on a former pair. I also like the styling of this pair the least as the texture on the strap for my black pair doesn't provide enough contrast to stand out, and the insignia on the footbed is already wearing off after a few weeks. My other Reef sandals did last for 2-3 years of frequent use in Southern California but I will be open to replacing these next summer if I find something better. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much selection for quality slide-style sandals.

I bought these sandals as a gift for my dad (who is tough to buy gifts for) for Father's Day. He put them on the moment I gave them to him and practically hasn't taken them off since! He even hinted that he would like a second pair. He wears 10 1/2-11 and the size 11 fit perfect.

Supposively these are Reef brand shoes. My b/f wore them for a month, usually just on weekends. The sole of the shoe just kept falling apart until his heel was actually touching the ground. I will never order these kind again, but I guess I wondered why they were cheaper than the brown pair, maybe its quality.

I love these reef slide sandals! I hate the thong style sandals and slides are hard to find. they even have a bottle cap opener on the bottom for those summer days when u want a cold one ;)

I wear a lot of athletic shorts, and I was looking at selections of sport slides to wear with them. I was just about to buy the most comfortable pair of adidas' I'd put my feet in, but I decided not to rush the purchase since I'd only seen a relatively small selection at that point. I came home slightly discouraged and just went cruising Amazon to see if anything came up - which obviously happened, otherwise I wouldn't be typing this! These slides were a big surprise.. I hadn't realized Reef made slides until then, because I'd never seen them. But anyways, I was instantly sold by these, and purchased them promptly.

I tried them on and found that they're absolutely true to size, but was a little disappointed they didn't come in half sizes (as usual with flip flops). But whatever, at least I'll have them a little longer to grow into, now! The comfort isn't like the memory foam slides I was looking at, but it's more of a support comfort, like running shoes. Honestly, I bet these have more support than some tennis shoes. These are probably the coolest looking slides I've seen in my life, just saying. And there's this bottle opener on the bottom that I doubt I'll use very often, but hey, might as well have one there, right? Then there's a little pocket on the inside of the sleeve.. it's pretty small, but you could fit a key or some money in it easily.

It turns out these look great with any shorts, not just athletic! I was kind of surprised how good they look with everything. I can't think of any cons besides that you need to break them in a little bit as with any footwear before they're as comfortable as they're meant to be. If you want some of the best slides out there, get these.

Couldn't be happier with this purchase. This sandal fits just right and is very confortable, I can wear them all day and not get sore feet. The bottle opener, found underneath BOTH sandals, works perfectly. If you are looking for a confortable, unique sandal for a decent price this is the one.

These sandals are perfect for what they are meant to be: simple, low travel sandals. They are very sturdy, have a bottle opener and a secret pocket inside which I did not notice until I cleaned them last week. Be sure to adjust the strap when you get them because I waited until I cleaned them and they aren't as loose anymore. This may sound strange but I did not notice they were loose. Occasionally I will rock them with socks in the office.

Excellent price. Nice for camping and mucking around in the lake. Handy bottle opener and they float too. Stash pocket won't fit more than a couple bills though.

I was an avid leather sandle wearer but after you wear them for awhile with you feet sweating it becomes embarrassing sitting amongst your friends and suddenly someone says...."what's that smell" and you realize its your sweat soak sandles. Eeww! That's when I researched numeous web sites looking for another pair of leather sandles. That's when I came across the Reef"s and after reading all the great reviews had to give them a try. First off I'm so glad that I did and I am completely satisfied. I like the fact that you can loosen of tighten them very easily. I love the fact that there so lite weight as if your barefoot. I will agree when I first purchased them they did have a strong order of fresh rubber tires but within a month or so that has since gone away. I love them and wish I could get away with wearing them with my suit to work. LOL....the one thing I wish the manufacture would do is not make their logo so large and having a bottle opener attached to them....really?? Unless I or my friends are really drunk I just can't see drinking a beer after someone has opened the bottle from someones dirty sweating sandle...come on .... seriously?!?!? But...if you want a quality made product I recommend the Reef's.
