I spent a 10-hour day walking around Busch Gardens in these, and even I was surprised they were still comfortable at the end of the day.

Reef sandals have always been the best, most comfortable sandals I have worn.

After a lot of second thoughts about the price, I found these at, of all places, a boardwalk surf store, at a price almost as low as Amazon's. After trying them on, I had to buy them. This is my first pair of leather flip flops, and I'm very impressed with the comfort and seeming quality of these. I've had a couple pair of Reefs before, Fannings and some other model, and while they're comfy, I can never get more than a year before the footbed is shot or the strap rips from the sole, and I don't usually wear them that much. I've had these since July, and so far they've just gotten more comfortable. The only thing is the fit- as mentioned, they break in and get looser. I wear a 9.5 usually and couldn't fit a 9 on my foot at the store, and the 10s fit perfectly. Now that they've broken in they're pretty loose, though not enough to fall off. I wish they had half sizes, since I'm not even sure I could've worn the 9s to let them break in. Yes, the footbed compresses, IMO that's part of a good leather sandal, they're practically molded to my foot, without feeling like they have no padding left like EVA sandals usually do. I spent a 10-hour day walking around Busch Gardens in these, and even I was surprised they were still comfortable at the end of the day. I don't think there's much more I could ask of these. I'm glad I bought them for $60, and for the $40 my size is right now, I'm half tempted to buy a second pair.

I bought these sandals based on the reviews. I bought them a half size big, which was the perfect size. My problem is that the toe strap is angled a bit toward the outside of the sandal. Not a whole lot but enough to put pressure on my second toe making them a bit uncomfortable. I'm hoping that breaking them in will stretch the straps enough to make them more comfortable. I'm also not to keen on the hard plastic soles. Other than that the sandals look great and appear to be high quality.

Edit: I'm sending them back. After a few days of wearing them and breaking them in, the toe strap is still very uncomfortably pressing against my second toe. Such a shame too. Other than that they are comfortable and very good looking sandals.

I bought these to replace a pair of Reef's sandals that had gotten worn out. The pair I had were made of synthetic material and were amazingly comfortable and lasted for years.

I wanted these because the leather looks a little classier then the black synthetic material of my old ones. While these definitely look very nice and feel just as good to walk on, the leather strap that goes over my food caused really bad chaffing. The first time I really wore them was on a trip to Europe. After walking all day through Rome my feet were literally bleeding from the leather straps. To be fair we did a TON of walking that day, probably like 8 hours worth of walking all added up, and I hadn't broken in the sandals previously.

The straps feel really soft, so I don't know why they seem to chaff so badly. I wear them fairly regularly in the summertime now, but not for anything that involves extensive walking. They still bother my feet some if I walk too long in them. However overall I still like them as they look great, seem very well made like all of Reef's products and are comfortable on the soles of my feet.

I would recommend them, just not for lengthy periods of walking.

These J-Bay Supremes are attractive and, once broken in, very comfortable. I wasn't sure if I wanted this higher-end flippy floppy, so I bought the EVA/synthetic leather version first, for a third of the price. These definitely take longer to break in than the EVA version, and made my toes sore until they did, but after a week of part-time wear they fit like a glove and look like they'll probably last quite a bit longer than the cheaper version. The extra-awesome outsole design is cool too.

i never liked thongs, i always thought they were uncomfortable. my girlfriend talked me into buying a pair, and said once you get used to them and they break in, they'll be the most comfortable sandal you ever had. she was right. i found these in a surf shop in ocean city nj for seventy-five bucks. i opted for the leather because of the look, longevity, and because i thought they would stretch to form my feet better. after about two weeks of use these things feel like a second skin. i'm curious to buy a pair of rainbows to see which i like better.
