This is a great collection of old Jazz/Blues tracks. I love this kind of stuff. To me it's the best Blues there ever was! This disc covers more or less all the songs on this subject that are worthwhile, so it's a great into to this type of music. Some of these songs are just hilarious! They did a nice remaster job in my opinion. The tracks sound far better than the source must have, but still sound natural and authentic. If you've been looking for a collection like this, look no further! If you're interested in more stuff along these lines the same company has put out a couple more albums in this vein. "Copulatin' Blues", and "Those Dirty Blues" Volume 1 and 2 contain a couple dozen really great Dirty Blues tracks. They're all worth a listen if you like this album.

This time period, the music, the not so suddle and hidden references... It's a nice CD and what I expected when ordered. If you're unsure, listen to the samples. The sound quality is as nice as a broken in record. I love the hiss and pops of aged vinyl. It has real life and soul.
