Beautiful and relaxing aquarium-style DVD, I'm so glad I purchased it. The colorful underwater landscapes were filmed in nature as opposed to captivity. The film quality is STUNNING, it actually made my jaw drop! There's a wide variety of tropical fish in each scene... some fish are near, while others are further away, and a few are just cruising through the screen on their way to who knows where... The scenes appear to stretch on and on into the distance... giving them more of a 3D quality, as compared to a standard fish tank. It's fascinating to watch how some fish will group together as they gently swim in formation, while some are in pairs, and still others swim "solo" and just do their own thing. Last night we played this DVD while entertaining friends, the video was ideal as background interest and the music created a nice mood.

The DVD has an excellent bonus chapter which is more focused on the individual sea creatures, and has the fish names that you can switch on or off... My husband now uses the remote control to hide and show the fish names so he can test his knowledge LOL. I highly recommend this "Reefscapes Nature's Aquarium" DVD.

I watched a preview of this DVD on YouTube. The video has reef scenes from the wild, but filmed in an aquarium style -- I liked this concept so I bought the DVD to use in my office waiting room. When I first played it on the HDTV it took my breath away. Colors, sharpness, realism -- all are superb. The DVD is peaceful and calming to watch. You get the choice of natural reef sounds or relaxation-type music -- I prefer the music option. I know my clients enjoy the ocean scenery because I often catch their eyes still glued to the TV as they leave the waiting room -- some have even asked where they can buy the DVD, which says to me that REEFSCAPES is worth 5-stars.

This "Reefscapes: Nature's Aquarium" DVD is spectacular! It was filmed in the ocean instead of in a fish tank. The coral reef scenery is really vast and beautiful, the blue water has sunbeams filtering through, there are many types of colorful corals, and SO MANY pretty tropical fish swimming all around. There are 100+ different reef scenes, and each scene blends into the next. Picture quality is superb, I imagine this was filmed in HD. I like to leave the DVD running on a loop on my widescreen plasma, it gives the room a nice atmosphere. The music is relaxing, but sometimes I mute it so I can play my own choice of music to suit my activity. There is also a bonus featurette on the DVD which has close-up shots of the marine life and subtitles that you can switch on or off which give you the name of each creature - my kids love it! I highly recommend this DVD. It's the finest quality "aquarium" video in my collection so far.
