This cd goes thru RBF from old to the new. They're music is just fun and upbeat and you can not be in a bad mood watching this. If you are in a bad mood, you won't be for long. The commentary is hilarious, and the video quality is excellent! Buy it now!

The RBF Rocks!,

Being a Reel Big Fish fan, I felt compelled to pick this DVD concert up. Best. Decision. Ever. I watch quite a bit of DVD concerts, and this one is definately my favorite. The Fish are just so darn entertaining. It really is something you WATCH as well as listen too. The songs are catchy, the band is fun, I've since watched it 5 times. Our college apartment will get a crowd over and someone will eventually go, "PLAY THAT REEL BIG FISH SONG ON THE DVD!" Great concert! You won't be disappointed. These guys are the peak of ska music.

NEW DVD IS GREAT, BUT...,

Let me start by saying this DVD is amazing. Great songs, energy on stage, and antics that make Reel Big Fish one of the best bands to see live. The songs they play on this DVD are great, and really show how well RBF can play live. My only complaint is that 3 songs that I know of from this show were not included on the DVD. Rock it With I, Boss DJ, and Kiss me Deadly. These are all cover songs, and I'm sure that it was licensing issues, but I would have rather waited until they got these cleared to release the DVD. These are some of my favorite cover songs that Reel Big Fish does. They got permission to put Take on Me on there, why not the others? I still had to give this DVD a 5, cause it is still a great DVD that showcases RBF talent perfectly. Buy it as soon as you can. Hopefully someday we will see these other songs in one way or another.

This is a hillarious must-have DVD for any Reel Big Fish fan! Plus it's really cool that you can switch angles throughout the live performance. Includes Aaron blasting Sell Out in his car while smoking a cigar in the Taco Bell drive-thru, Tyler Jones pouring Jack Daniels in to audience member's mouths, and overall just a kickass performance! Also, the commentary by Aaron and Scott is hillarious too! Just get the DVD!

An Alright Representation of a Phenomenal Band,

As another reviewer commented, the concert scene and the studio are two totally different settings. However, I think that it is not an issue which means that a ska/rock band must sound on stage like it does on its recording. Instead, the vibrant nature of the band is what must also shine forth on the stage. Their energy and true spirit for the music shows forth. In concert, Reel Big Fish does that superbly. My problem with this DVD is not in sound quality (though it is a little problematic at times -- due to the recording of the DVD) or instrumental execution. Instead, the concert itself does not capture that energy which RBF has when they come on stage at a live venue. It contains too many hijinks, which bog the concert down. However, it gives the watcher an introduction to RBF as a stage band (although in an older form, with different members than those currently in the band). It is for this reason that I still suggest it. The only caveat which I offer is this: Do not judge them as a band based on this alone. On CD ("Everything Sucks" excluded), the band is much cleaner sounding, as they should be. On stage, they are more vibrant than this concert offers. However, fans will enjoy the performance and other interested parties may find it intriguing also.

Good Show,

This is a great DVD for huge fans and novices alike. The set list is good, the band has great stage presence and enthusiasm, and they pull out some of their best tricks, such as playing S.R. in several different styles and playing Hepcat's "Dance Wid Me" in the middle of "She Has A Girlfriend Now." Unfortunately, three covers are cut out of the performance, and no show can have everyone's favorite songs, (I personally missed "Somebody Loved Me," "Somebody Hates Me," and "She's Famous Now" here, amongst others) but this is an example of what it's like to see Reel Big Fish rock the house on any given night, showing that they are one of the most fun live acts out there.

I love RBF's music, I've seen them play twice, and loved both shows I'd been to. Having seen this DVD on the market, I bought it immediately. I'd never seen them perform with Tyler Jones before this DVD... Man, I can't stand him! Couldn't the guy just shut the hell up??? He's annoying throughout, he's an obnoxious drunk, keeps yelling out "We're number 87!" which nobody else in the band thinks is funny, and you can just watch Aaron and Scott both thinking, "What the hell is Tyler doing?" It's really hard to watch, but the music is great, and the rest of the band is as entertaining as ever. I'd have given it five stars but for Tyler's performance.

the item and the service have been O.K.
I received the item several days before the foreseen date. The only problem is that italian post service does not use the duoble address on the envelope, and it lives your invoices just any other postal invoice; anybody can find it interesting for himself and take away what you are wating for (and you payed for). |
