Software requires patches, both off-line and on-line from vendor's site - right out the box it's useless! This product was rushed to market without testing and just dumped on the public. Liked they included some new casino table games but that doesn't make up for the flaws. The video support is a mess. The video settings do not stay configured, you may start at 1024x768, but switching games will change the video setting to something like 600x480...that's just lazy testing by the developers ! Overall, skip this product, the headaches of trying to use it aren't worth it !

Has problems, but good outweighs the bad,

At the time of this writing (March, '09), the online MMO play of this game is in need of a lot of tweaking. Glitches, lag, and other problems are an unfortunate reality in this game right now. The offline play does not suffer from these problems. That being said, however, if you can muster up some patience and forgive some of these shortcomings there is a really great game in there. You won't find a better casino game. The selection of table games is extensive enough to include virtually any table game you would ever find in an American casino, from the most popular such as roulette and blackjack to the harder to find games like Sic Bo and Mississippi Stud. No casino game has a better selection. And the slot machines are the most diverse and creative on the market, in fact, better than the ones in brick-and-mortar casinos in most cases. The bonus rounds play out as elaborate mini games. The casino is a 3D MMO world online, where you create your own avatar, level up and earn experience and rewards, and take on quests as well as play the standard games. A casino host comps you with new rewards as you level up. There is also a mall where you can buy new clothing to customize your avatar, as well as decorations for your suite, furniture, jewelry, etc- although at the time of this writing only 2 stores were open and could be used yet. Poker is not playable yet online. The developer says they are working hard to get that into the game, as well as the other features that aren't available yet. You can play it offline. There is a lot of work to be done, and features to be added. But that does not mean there isn't plenty to keep a person busy for a good long while right now. For anyone who can't get enough of casinos and wants to spend play money rather than real money getting their fix in between Las Vegas visits, this game is as close to the real experience as you're going to get in a video game right now. The features that are working properly online are very satisfying, and the offline game works fine. However, if you don't have the patience for the aforementioned shortcomings you may want to wait a few months, or wait for the new installments coming in September, after the development team has had more time to fix the technical issues. The game just officially launched last month, and some would argue that it wasn't ready for the general public. This argument is valid and has merit, yet I'm glad to be playing regardless, because I'm getting enough pleasure out of the game it outweighs the flaws. I have tried other casino games in the past and in terms of features, number of games, and quality of games they don't come close to the Reel Deal series, even taking into account the current technical bugs that need to be ironed out. But consider yourself warned - while this is a very worthwhile casino game to pick up you may want to wait if you have a low tolerance for things like lag, booting, and other bugs.

All the phantom games are great fun. They are like you are in the casino but you are not losing any money. If you like to play blackjack, keno or just the slots. Buy the game.

For being one of Phantom's older titles, this one is still a great time. I'm a big Phantom Phan and these are the best games on the market period! Enjoy!

Extremely disappointed,

This was an extreme disappointment. I ordered both of the new releases and this was just a total disappointment. There was only just a bare handful of new slots which is why I bought this in the first place as the casino games on the disc are pretty much the same as on all of their other casino titles. I only buy their companion casino titles to get the new slots and this one seemed to have really gotten the short end of the stick! Another disappointment was that one of the slots has a bug in it which totally ruined the fun of the game. The graphics background is just one huge advertisement for their online game "Live" and I feel like I paid them just so they could advertise their game to me! What a rip off. This will be the last game I buy from them. Don't waste your money.
