Reel Fishing is an "un-video game" because there are no explosions or stunning graphics. Instead you are presented with animated photography of stunning creeks and ponds. And while you are waiting for a nibble you to listen to really good new age music (which I'm usually not a fan of). I also like the game because it makes my girlfriend roll her eyes.

I thought this fishing game was great. The price is much lower than some of the other fishing games available. There is really a challenge placed on you to land a fish. Sometimes they never bite and sometimes they break away just as you are about to get them to the surface. You go through levels of different bodies of water, each time catching a limit of a new type of fish. You can choose between several rods and lures. One of the unique things about this game is that you can keep your prize fish in a tank back at the fishing lodge. You get to name them, watch them, feed them, etc. A memory card is a must for this game, to save your record catches.

If you love to fish this game is for you. Reel Fishing has great video and smooth background music. The fishing action is fantastic and so are the sound effects. If you are a true fisherman this game is for you.

rEAL FISHING IS ONE OF THE BEST FISHING GANMES EVER, FOR PLAYSTATION 1, i LIKE THE RELAXING MUSIC AND THE FISHING IS IN REAL PLACES AND FIGHTING THE FISH IS PRETTY REAL TO THIS GAME IS A FUN GAME AND I CANT WAIT TO BUY THE SECOND ONE.

wow i can see how anybody can enjoy such a boring, bad graphic, lame excuse for a playstation game. It should be played on gameboy or something of that sort.

What was the "Game Spot" editor talking about? This game is sweet! I used to fish (real-life), but I don't anymore, and I still like this game. The graphics are tight (for the time that it came out) and the gameplay is cool (you do have to be patient though). Anyone who likes a simple, but some what challenging fishing game should get this.

I wish more fishing games would be more like this. It's better then most (or all) current gen-console. The style is one-of-a-kind, with animated pre-render background that looks FANTASTIC and actually makes you feel like you're there. The game only suffers from load time and not enough locations. It's a real gem if you gave the patient to learn the HARD-AS-HELL fishing techniques.

I give this game a typical average rating fishing games of 3 stars. The worst of the Reel Fishing series, although better than a lot of other fishing games!

A challenging,yet,not ridiculously hard game to play. It is a soothing, peaceful way to unwind after a very stressful day. Very non-frustrating. Turn of the music, but, leave the nature sounds on. Lock your kids & your spouse out of the room you're playing in, & enjoy a relaxing, peaceful expirence that one would not suspect, could come from a computer game that kids normally use to drive you nuts with. I would reccomend this game to anyone who is high-strung, &, is either on Valium, or, should be on it. It could potentionally replace physciatrists.

This is reeal Fishing for sure this is what makes this game so real!

1 Its not a championship catch as many fish as you can in a time limit fishing you just relax and catch fish

2 This is one of the only fishing games that acually make the fish fight back!

3 Theres many different types of bait hooks poles lures and so much more!

4 This game is challanging and you need to learn a different stratagy for each type of fish that you catch and each one has different taste in bait

5 Graphics and fish are so realistic it looks great up to today! I love the nature sounds the music is so relaxing when your fishing The waters ripples and waves are truley ahead of their time everything ties together it was a ahead of its time.

6 This is the only game that allows you to keep your prize trophy fish and store up to three in a seperate preference tanks for the fishes water liking (of course) fully equiped and you can feed them keep them happy if not X( well you get the picture

7 This game also gives hints and tips the manual gives you fishing techniques and tricks to be great at this and you will need everything to pass through each level there are requirements to pass to the next fishing spot and theres a record of each fish you caught and released you can also keep up to 2 fish in the livewell while you transfer them to the tank theres five moods happy fine tired terrible and well dead.... they also have 3 eating choices you can turn the tank light off and on knock on the tank if you wanna kill it you can also turn off the tank cleaner again if you wanna kill it all your records are recorded in the book and all time records from the fishing master are also stored

Overall this game gets a 11 out of 10! and never gets old the fish allways react differently you gotta get this game no matter if you dont like fishing or not this game is a must have
