I have bought and given as presents, several sets of these REEL Lights as they have progressed and improved their nifty little lights. These are a great "Be seen" Blinky headlight that never needs batteries. They will keep blinking at a stoplight or while you are storing your bike in a dark garage. it only takes a block or two to start them up, even after winter, or your very first time after mounting them. They will blink for 5 minutes or so after a 20 minute ride. Put them on and forget about it! Easy to put on yourself. Why these lights have not caught on more in the USA is a mystery to me. They are not that pricey, compared to buying new batteries after you forgot to turn them off. REEL light also has tail lights for seat post or pannier rack mounts. The original axle lights, and various front basket, stem post mounts. In constant, blinking, and capacitor "temporary storage" powered lights. Make sure you get the right ones for you. Some places don't let bikes have blinkers. (Netherlands?) You will dig them the most. Your pal, Fergy

Was looking for a battery-free flasher to run all the time--particularly to be visible during daytime riding. Unfortunately, this light is far too dim for such a purpose. Looks like I am stuck with battery powered flashers as I am unaware of any flashing lights that run off of dynamos.

The other bummer was that the stand light function did not function and the flashing was rather erratic. Altogether, a very disappointing purchase--I returned it.
