I picked this product up at a local retailer for the same price listed here at Amazon so I didn't have to mess with shipping.

As a guy who is somewhat mechanically inclined but didn't own a torque wrench- or a socket set, it wasn't that hard to mount to my Jeep Liberty. I borrowed a set of tools and installed the hitch in about 3 hours with at least 30-45 minutes of that just studying the instruction manual. I didn't put my Jeep on ramps or need to jack it up- I just laid on my back and installed it. It was a one man job for me, but I'm sure having a 2nd person would make it a bit easier. The instructions could have been a bit more clear and bolts were certainly a bit tricky to identify as they are not labeled and come in a giant bag (3/4 of which you won't use), but still it was a pretty straightforward installation.

The price was right considering hitches made specifically for my Liberty were nearly $80-100 more, so this product gets a 4/5 star rating. I can't give it a perfect rating simply due to the imperfect instruction manual and unlabeled bolts, but that's a pretty small gripe.

Installation on my vehicle was pretty easy, but I'm sure on some minivans and other vehicles it would be trickier with lower ground clearance and less clearly suited frame construction. But if you own the tools that are required for this installation, then you are probably the type of person who knows their way around a car and will have few problems.

Bolted right on our 2005 Ford Ranger after studying the instructions a couple of times. This hitch is made to fit lots of different vehicles though; your installation may be more difficult.

The hitch arrived in good shape and it took alittle while to fish some bolts through the inside of the hitch but after that the hitch went together good. Took about 1.5 hrs to install since I had to drill two holes. I would recommend this product.

Luckily, I did not have to drill holes in my 2003 Ford Windstar, but the installation took me about 2 hours and that is with a vehicle lift and a garage FULL of tools, so I could stand under the van to install it. You will have MANY bolts and nuts left over, since this is a universal.

If I had to do all this by laying on the ground, it would have taken about 6 hours. Remember to leave all the bolts LOOSE until you put the last one in.

When a friend and I installed this on my '09 Express FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS, we noted that things didn't exactly line up as they should have. We ended up spending more time than I thought we would installing this hitch. I would suggest that one should be at least "semi handy" to tackle this project. Otherwise, it's a Reese which is a VERY good hitch.

YEAH, YOU CAN DO IT !!
REQUIRED A LITTLE CREATIVITY TO FOLLOW THE EXACT DIRECTIONS AND SELECT THE SPECIFIC HARDWARE TO INSTALL ON MY CHEVY EXPRESS 2500.
DID REQUIRE TWO 1/2 INCH HOLES TO BE DRILLED. NOT TOO EASY, BUT WORTH THE EFFORT. COMES WITH TONS OF HARDWARE TO ADAPT TO MANY VEHICLES.
SEEMS PLENTY STOUT, BUT HAVEN'T PULLED ANYTHING YET.
