This is my second POD controller now and I wouldn't buy another kind. I frequently tow 8-10k lbs and this one was flawless. Don't be tempted by the digital ones that have a ball bearing in them. Solid state is the way to go so that it can be mounted any way. The simpler the better in my opinion.

I ordered the pod because it was inexpenceive (cheap) Nice surprize, It is well built, easy to install, works well with our camp trailer.

Easy to intall easy to use and works great!Do not hesitate to buy this product you won't be sorry. Especially with Amazon's great free super saver shipping and excellent customer service behind it.

Recently I bought a brake controler from a sorce I won't disclose. The instalation digram was so vage I fryed the unit. I bought the Reese towpower unit which had the wire connector and directions. Installed and working less than 20 min, no joke.

Was a little skeptical since price was lower than most, but this little brake controller will do the job, at least it does on my 4000 lb trailer. Remember, you can use the wiring harness that comes with your vehicle, but make sure you follow Reese's guidelines for connecting to brake controller. Colors are different. Otherwise, purchase the wiring harness for your vehicle and it all connects like a charm.

I got this ahead of schedule and it was easy to install. I had to do some extra work because I had to do a lot of wireing on my motorhome to get it installed the way I wanted it. I moved and towed my car and during the trip I started blowing brake light fuses. Using the manual activation lever I made the trip safely through a windy mountain road of about 100 miles. I won't say it was fun but the operation of the controler made it possible.

Even after using the does this fit my car information and being told it does fit my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500, it doesn't without a wiring adaptor from Reese part number 22281. The information on this item said just plug it in and it will work. This is not possible with the connector on the unit.
Amazon needs to review the other controllers for missing or misleading information.
