5.0 out of 5 stars Teflon Fifth Wheel Plate Disk
If you are still greasing your fifth wheel plate - stop and buy one of these. This is my second one. The first lasted about five years.

1.0 out of 5 stars good idea,
Solid in theory, but if you hitch up like I do, and have the trailer slightly lower than the truck so that you actually lift the trailer off the stabilizers when you hook up then you run into the following problem: the little teeth around the inside edge designed to flex and hold the plate in place on the pin, bend and get caught between the receiver and pin. Then it will...

I am pesently using this lube plate on our 5th wheel without using additional grease. It works great and we will see how long it lasts. I ordered two just in case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!, October 21, 2009

Works as designed with no problems. I have not experienced the issue with the inner circle teeth being torn as a previous reviewer mentioned. I too set the weight of the kingpin on the truck bed hitch at hookup but not so much as to lift the landing gear off the ground. I expect to see some wear and tear on this product but will be happy if it lasts one season, especially for the price. Anything is better than using grease! I would recommend this product.

Do away with all the grease and put one of these between the hitch and fifth wheel king pin. This product works as good as grease and no more mess.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, October 1, 2011

Works great, does take a bit of effort to snap into place. Once in place it is set and works very well. If you are still using/putting grease on your 5th wheel, welcome to the 21st century.

Then it will no longer stay on and you do not get a good hook up and can not latch the hitch closed.
