Amazing. The production on this album is big time, and the songs are ahead of their market. After all these years (three of them), this reigns as one of the great pop albums.

Firs of all, for those who enjoy the rest of the album: My review has nothing to do with your taste in music. If you love this band, Good for you!

Amazing. The production on this album is big time, and the songs are ahead of their market. After all these years (three of them), this reigns as one of the great pop albums.
"An Offer She Can't Refuse" contains a few obvious references to the Godfather, but plays out like an acoustic love song. "Inhale, Exhale" is a slow-building rocker that I could swear is a reworking of a Lemondhead's song. "Young and Dumb" and "I Want Burns" are off an earlier EP that they did and I still prefer the originals, but they are suitable on this album.
Like the Foo Fighters but not as huge sounding, like the Lemonheads but less alt-country and cocaine, and like Weezer but less marketing.

Reeve Oliver is not a band that is going to change music history. There isn't anything on this album that is groundbreaking. Reeve Oliver's first full length album is just good. The album is full of great songs that have catchy beats and good lyrics. Reeve Oliver is a three part band that has a lot of talent. Listen to the album to see for yourself.

1. I Want Burns - 10/10 A very catchy song and a perfect song to start out with. One of my favorite songs.
2. I Don't Want to Know - 8/10 A little slower than "I Want Burns" with good vocals.
3. Young and Dumb - 10/10 My favorite song on the album. Begins with heavy guitars then slows down until the chorus. Slowly rocks you and you can help but nod your head.
4. Your Own Private Ice Age - 10/10 Another great song that slows down and rocks out.
5. On the Floor - 10/10 Great intro to the song. The fastest song on the album and rocks the entire time.
6. Yer Motion - 10/10 Another fast song with catchy lyrics and good vocals.
7. Until Someone Loves You - 8/10 Starts slow and slowly builds up.
8. Inhale, Exhale - 9/10 Starts very slow with just a gentle guitar and lyrics. Then it picks up a little by adding drums until it rocks at the chorus.
9. Reevenge - 10/10 A catchy song that has good guitar and lyrics.
10. An Offer She Can't Refuse - 7/10 The slowest song on the album. An acoustic song that doesn't quite fit on the album. The song is a little too slow and in my opinion, would have fit best at the end of the album.
11. Sizzle Digitz - 9/10 A fun song to sing along to. A pretty good song to end the album with, even though I think "An Offer She Can't Refuse" would have been better.

I hope that you give this album a shot. If you visit the website, there is a video for "I Want Burns" that has Tony Hawk in it. Also, check them out in concert. I first saw Reeve Oliver at a show and they sound awesome live.

4.0 out of 5 stars Straight Ahead Rock from Reeve Oliver, October 20, 2004

I've seen Reeve Oliver in concert about 5 times as they've opened for Switchfoot quite a bit. Their songs have always been memorable and now we've gone past the EP stage and have a real full-length album. There are some standout songs from "Revenge", "Yer Motion" and "I Want Burns". The real catchers are "An Offer She Can't Refuse" (an ode to the Godfather) and "On The Floor". I cannot get enough of these songs. Go buy it now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow., April 29, 2006

This is in my opinion one of the greatest albums of all time. One of the most refreshing rock bands in years finally puts out a BEAUTIFUL full-length album. Sean O' Donnel, the singer of the band also produced it and did an incredible job too. A beautiful slow, powerful rock sound that I have rarely heard being emulated throughout an entire album.Inventive and fun, this albums kicks serious ass!

The band Just got signed to Capitol in October and started recording the new album a matter of days ago.

I love when a band comes along and doesn't have to get too intellectual with their songs and still manage to be smart and deep. That's what Reeve does. Their songs aren't too lyrically complex, which, in this case, is no criticism. You've got to appreciate an album like this. Songs about love and loss, and the misfortunes of youth. I've got few complaints about these guys. This is an album easy to get used to. Not too Indie to suck, not too mainstream to sound like their music's not from the heart. Hope to hear more outta this band.

This is like a good cup of coffee. Soothing, and delicious. I love this album. It's kinda hard, kinda soft, kinda fast and kinda slow. Fits those lazy early morning days really well.

I can't say much more about this album though. Other than I love it. The music is great, the singer can sing his a** off. Great bass, great guitars.

Money well worth spending my friends. Go pick this up.

Firs of all, for those who enjoy the rest of the album: My review has nothing to do with your taste in music. If you love this band, Good for you!

However, for some of us, who would only like to purchase ONE song of the whole album, I feel it's very sad that this feature it's not available. The only song I like is "An Offer She Can't Refuse", and -as someone wisely stated- is a song that has nothing to do with the rest of the album. It's like it doesn't even belong to the same band. I refuse to spend $13 on an album that only has one song I like.

Please Amazon, sell them individually!
