This review is from: Guide and Reference to the Amphibians of Western North America (North of Mexico) and Hawaii (Paperback)
The Bartletts have done it again -- here is the most incredible collection of photos covering all species of western amphibians that you could ever see. This book complements the volume on eastern amphibians that has already been published, and is also a perfect companion to Robert C. Stebbins' Field Guide to Western Amphibians. The authors' great passion for these creatures is abundantly evident in the spectacular color photos which seem to make even the most nondescript creatures look awesome, not to mention the more showy ones!
I'm rushing to get the other two volumes on snakes, lizards and turtles as soon as I can! |
