The Gregg Reference Manual is the most comprehensive resource for grammar, usage, and punctuation I've ever used. I recommend it for the serious writer in any field.

If you're buying this because the University of Phoenix requires it, do yourself a favor and don't -- I was never required to crack this book once during my time in the graduate program. The APA style manual is another story, although, from my experiences editing my teammates' papers, they never cracked that one, either ;)

OMG, this book was $65.00 at the school book store, new, used was about 50.00. I have purchased 2 from Amazon, one for me and one for a friend. both of the books are new. Yes, new! I plan on keeping this and using it for future reference. It is a great buy. Anyone who writes needs this book.
