I just purchased this ink refill kit as well as the black kit (921-bk) to refill my canon mp-160 printer cartridges. This is my first time refilling cartridges and I have to say that it was an excellent experience. Total time to fill both cartridges was about 15 minutes, 10 of which was getting set up at the table and making sure I didn't make a mess.

My first thoughts were that the instructions were in ENGLISH and not translated poorly from another language. They were clear, concise, and accurate so there was no mistaking what you were supposed to do.

Second, the ink comes with nice syringe type applicators with rubber caps so you can safely store the unused ink.

Lastly, I have a few suggestions that make life a little easier. The directions tell you to remove the label from the top of the cartridge. The sticker is difficult to get peeled up and ends up coming off as little pieces. To avoid this, get a razor blade, sharp knife or something similar and CAREFULLY slide it under the edge of the label. You will be able to easily peel the label up and get a good hold on it to pull it off in one peice.

Also, don't use the included drill bit unless you absolutely have to. There is the risk that you can get plastic particles into the cartridge and cause problems. Granted I do not know how much of an issue this is but i would rather be on the safe side. Use a paper clip, awl, or small screw driver heated over a flame to melt the hole larger. Doing this causes the plastic to get pushed up so you will need to trim this off using a rasor blade so the hole is flush again.

After filling, I printed a picture to test the ink and it came out beautifully. I cannot see the difference between this and the orignial cartridge. The price Can't be beat either. I got two of each of the color and black refill kits and it only cost me $30 shipped to my door in 3 days.

This is the second time I have ordered these refills from this seller and I am satisfied for the most part. The packaging is great and it arrives always on time or before the scheduel due date. The only Major complaint I have is if you order two refills at the same time like I did, One (1) Black Ink and One (1) Color Ink, I'm charged a seperated shipping on each of the item (thats two (2) shipping charges in total, even if it's shipped in one box, and the shipping charges are so much more money then the item itself, I think that's unfair. The shipping charges for these ink refills are very expensive and I really don't see why the seller charges TWO shipping charges, I feel he should charge one shipping fee when they are being mailed in one box, I will be surfing the internet for another company to order from next time.

Although this was slightly messier than the single black ink refill, I hardly made a mess at all. Works perfectly, lets me reuse my cartridges, and so much cheaper than buying whole new cartridges. Two complete refills per package. So worth it...I will definitely be buying again!

Seems to work just fine, don't understand though why printers will never recognize a refilled cartridge as such. I even put the original sticker back on in the same place.

its so great comes with instructions and everything you need to do refill didnt have a mess either! and the price is great!

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this kit, but I am satisfied with the results. The only issue that I have is with the shipping cost (more than the product). It was easy to fill and there is enough ink to do two cartridges. I would certainly purchase this item again.

The instructions that come with this kit fail to mention that Canon installs a chip on it's printers to keep you from using this kit. Even if you properly refill your cartridges, you still need to reset your printer to override this evil chip. Type in your canon model and the word reset on google and you will eventually run across the needed extra steps (pressing buttons, unplugging, etc). The official directions tell you to pull off the manufacturers label, but I found this impossible. Instead I left the label on and found the selected holes by rubbing the label until the imprints were visible. Initially I was worried about leaking but in the end I didn't have that problem.

INK KIT WAS EASY TO USE AND SAVED A LOT OF MONEY. THE KIT COMES W/2 REFILL QUANTITIES. THE 1ST REFILL WAS SLOW. HOWEVER, FOR THE 2ND FINAL REFILL USE I POKED A TINY HOLE IN THE BOTTLE TO IMPROVE POURAGE RATE AND IT WENT A LOT QUICKER. SURPRISED HOW WELL IT WORKED!

i have a really old printer but i refuse to buy a new one only because it would be easier to find ink for it. Thank god i found this on here. it works great. and you only need half the bottle to refill the ink.
