Refinery Process Modeling: Sample Problem 2 [FCC/Gas Plant] [Paperback]

Gerald L. Kaes (Author)

Out of Print--Limited Availability.

Book Description

August 15, 2002
The author uses the principles in his book, Refinery Process Modeling, to present a stepwise, simulator-independent model building procedure. This problem provides a generalized method for modeling FCC units and the asociated gas plants.

The FCC gas plant often has non-FCC generated feed stocks. A method is presented to define the true FCC reactor products and mass balance them against the plant gas oil charge.

Techniques for modeling the main fractionator and associated slurry quench system are given, as well as techniques for modeling the other columns and recycle loops in the gas plant.
