Faced with refinishing my wife's antique coffee table that used to be her late grandmother's, I purchased this book. I was not disappointed! The author is not only extremely knowledgeable about his subject matter, but he explains it clearly and thoroughly. The book is well-organized, and a very detailed table of contents and index help the reader find the information they need quickly. The book explained all of the different finishes and techniques of refinishing, and the pros and cons of each. I accomplished what I set out to accomplish when I purchased this book: I obtained the knowledge and skill I needed to complete my refinishing project with outstanding results. If you have a refinishing project or just want to learn more about this craft, I highly recommend this book.
