An honest account of life in an exclusive religious group., February 11, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Reflected Truth: Former Workers and Followers Unmask Life in a Large, Little-Known Sect (Paperback)
This book, written by a number of former members of a group known as the 2x2s, Cooneyites, Nameless Church etc. gives an honest account of the experiences of those people who were once members of this group which surrounds itself in secrecy and the things that led them to exit the group. A must for those who know people or have family in the group.

Amazing to hear others' stories!, September 2, 2009
This review is from: Reflected Truth: Former Workers and Followers Unmask Life in a Large, Little-Known Sect (Paperback)
I too grew up in this religion and left it at 18 having the conviction that it wasn't right. Now, 17 years later, I'm shocked to read everything I never knew about it! Most of my family is still in this religion and I wish I could share with them what I've read! I finally have a peace I haven't had for 17 years, knowing that I did indeed make the right choice to get out. Thank you to everyone who was brave enough to share their experiences!

Compilation following Daurelle Chapman's Reflections, January 7, 2007
This review is from: Reflected Truth: Former Workers and Followers Unmask Life in a Large, Little-Known Sect (Paperback)
This book was published in 1996, three years after Reflections (see my review of that, too), by Research and Information Services. It is shorter, containing 29 true stories. This book, however, contains the first-hand account of a man who was in the work for a year. Very interesting! This book also contains an appendix listing worker quotes.
I am giving this book four stars instead of five for the same reasons I did with Reflections: no one who is not now a devout Christian is included, and the typography and book design are amateurish.
