I had this LP in the 1950's and loved it; had great difficulty finding it as a CD in 2009. Found a used copy through Amazon; it is in superb condition and was expertly packaged, still with the insert. This is a rare gem of a score. Order was filled super fast.
My thanks to Amazon for having this gently-used copy. Music is deeply personal. Ferde Grofe's Grand Canyon Suite has remotely similar grandeur of themes, but this score is more of a deeply touching tapestry of Native American life set in music, from tribal life to war ceremony. It is glorious and stirs emotions with its rich movements. I am thrilled to have it once again, 50 years later.
