Give this man a Grammy!,

How do explain a voice that holds the sounds of Billy Gaines of Billy & Sarah Gaines fame? The teddy bear voice of Ruben Studdard with a little Luther Vandross mixed in for good measure. You got it! Jason Champion. He is the best male vocalist that has come out this year. Give this man his props for using a live band to bring that personal touch that musicians love to hear. I won't pump up one song, you'll just have to listen for yourself. Give this man a Grammy!

This is an absolutely amazing CD! All of the tracks are well produced and very inspirational. Jason Champion has a beautiful voice. I appreciate his public reflection of his experiences; it has motivated me to be more introspective. I highly recommend this CD. I not only purchased a personal copy, but I have purchased several as gifts for friends and family.

Fans of Men at Large should be screaming, 'What took so long?' One of the best R&B/Soul singers out there. Jason is clearly a better singer that cats like Neyo and Studdard. I have one major issue with this record: Why do the robot thing to Jason's voice on 'Always'. Lame, lame, lame. There should be a law against using Auto Tune for anything other than minor fixes. And people who CAN'T SING shouldn't be making records anyway...T-Pain and Terrace Howard, are you listening? Another minor gripe is that this record is slightly over-produced. It sounds highly polished and tailor-made for airplay on Christian and A/C stations. Those familiar with Jason's previous work know that he can rip it up vocally, but he's clearly laying off, probably by the producers decision. Bummer. Lowfat gospel music without the grease, if you will. Still, Jason is singing his face off.
While this isn't a traditional gospel record, its not an over the top Hip Hop thing either. Jason's voice is the star here, and that's fine by me. Working with Kirk Franklin put Jason back in the public eye, thanks Kirk. The non-R&B world needs to know about Jason Champion. While I won't get too deep into a review of the tracks, I'll say they are not vulgar, controversial, or over sung. Just buy the record for the inpirational singing, and Jason Champion is definitely bringing that.

I enjoy listening to this CD, especially the song with Jason and his wife singing "for better or for worse". The CD moves fast, I can listen to the CD 1.5 times by the time I get to work, and my commute is only 35 minutes. This is a good CD starting out and I'm sure the 2nd time around will be even better.

My family and I enjoyed listening to "Always" played on the radio for weeks before deciding to research the artist. Once we found the name of the artist, we decided to research him. Jason Champion is a former lead singer of the duo "Men at Large" from the 90s. His voice is as smooth and pure now as it was then. The cd, "Reflections", is uplifting and inspirational with a mixture of mid and up-tempo beats. "Always" is still my favorite song on the CD, but the whole CD is great. I rate it a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend this CD to individuals looking for gospel with an a new flavor. I can almost promise that you will be dancing and singing and praising along with Jason Champion before you finish the first listening session.
