About the Author

Dr. Ram P. Ramcharran is a behavioral counselor at a successful weight management center in Palm Harbor, Florida. Ram is passionate about helping others in self-development, discovering self-awareness, self-trust and personal acceptance. He brings depth to the field of personal development with his writings Understanding the Self: A Journey from Within and Reflections of Life. He has helped many people change and improve their lives by teaching them how to discover their own awareness and how to understand their inner being. Ram's work with weight loss has assisted his patients to identify the behaviors that continued to trap them in their struggles to lose weight.

Ram has developed programs in behavioral finance and weight management. He has helped teams and organizations better understand their clients and customers. He has written several articles on self-esteem, awareness, performance anxiety, productivity, and weight management.

Ram is a co-founder and the assistant director of Alpha Omega Weight Loss Center. Ram and his wife, Dr. Sadhana Ramcharran, M.D. have provided valuable services that have helped enhance their patients' lives.

Dr. Ramcharran is a popular speaker with many local groups, national organizations, and publicly traded companies. He and his wife has been guests on local talk radio health programs speaking about weight management. He has developed and administered workshops and classes on leadership, making life changes, weight loss management, stress management, motivation, and understanding and discovering the self.

Ram and Sadhana have two beautiful sons: Ramesh, age 5, and Rohan, age 11.

This is a well written book that touches on various important aspects of our everyday lives. The author has clearly done much soul searching on the various aspects covered in this piece and I highly recommend this book.
