What a great book to have beside your bed at night or on a coffee table. No matter where you open it once you begin reading you can't help but go back in time. My Dad took us for rides in the country on a Sunday afternoon after stopping for an ice cream cone. We saw cozy farm houses and my sister and I pretended we lived there. When I read about the Old Barn I remembered seeing many barns on our rides....some old and falling down and some new. In this book you read of times gone by and the old memories just come flooding back. I felt a mixture of happiness and sadness just like my own memories of stories of my grandparents lives.

The stories are well written and it doesn't matter if you only read one or several you are left wanting to read more. I highly recommend it and applaud both the writer and the photographer for a well blended book of memories.

I only wish there were more pictures to go with the stories.
