This review is from: Reflections of Rage (Audio CD)
i dont think many people know anything about this band at all. Often times i see them labeled as synth-pop, or pop, or dark pop. This band started out as a gothic rock group and have made some amazing beautiful poetic music. In fact their first album as i recall did not have any syths in it at all. Reguarless this album is proof that goth is undead they're stepping it up into the new generation and it is actually called 3erd generation goth or dark wave. I dont want this band to stop I have never ceased to be amazed at their tallents and we need alternative dark music in this world some has got to do it and these guys do it well. This is a remix album of older stuff but the remixes are worth it. The originals of corse are just as amazing, but the remixes are so well done its almost like they are different songs. you also have to love it when an underground anti-pop band does a remix cover of a real pop song. kind of like when the lords of the new church did a cover of madonnas song "like a virgin". so here the last dance is with jeffs wonderfully gothic romantic voice and fallowed by the dark ethereal sounds of rick and peter is a britiny spears song if i spelled her name wrong i dont care. if you like dark as in somber, dispare, desparation, and tragidy you'll like this i promise it wont disapoint.
