I moved to Ulster County in the early 70's, and still live 1/2 mile from the old Hurley State Police barracks where Investigator Beyea was stationed. He's an excellent writer, and I can remember many of the cases described in his book from newspaper accounts at the time. Also, he was able to use the actual names of many people I knew, changing others when appropriate. I look forward to purchasing more of his books!
