Their most underappreciated album 1981,

I am a huge fan of this band. This was the sixth album they did.The album before this wasn't that great,so I figured their career was going downhill.Luckily this album was brilliant. Unfortunately the beach/California sound was out of vogue, and this album didnt do as well as it should have. The single Cool Love did real well, but nothing else sparked radio interest. This Time is their version of New Wave, which came off well.Let Me take you into Paradise is a standout track,as well as One More Night.Dave Jenkins voice was enhanced on this album to sound more soulful. The LP flows brilliantly. If you are a fan of Worlds Away, you will love this album!!!! ATTN-Collectors:Right before this they did a track exclusively for a soundtrack called"What've You Got To Lose"the soundtrack was INSIDE MOVES. It will probably never show on a CD.Just like Out Of Our Hands(their last album 83)Will likely never make CD.The quality of the CD could be better, if you have a good turntable and the original VINYL, the sound is actually better on vinyl.

"Reflector" #34 1981.Pablo Cruise released their 6th studio album in the summer of '81. This one wasn't as strong as "Part Of The Game", in 1979. Overall sound is a more cool collective sound, not as warm and smooth on their last release. Bruce Day had quit the band, I think it was a major loss to the band. The material that sounded good on this album were, "This Time",the upbeat "Jenny", "Cool Love" #13 and the smooth "Slip Away" #75. Not bad, but too much filler. |
