Editorial Reviews

Review

"This book tells those who care for the sick how to use the feet for diagnosis and cure of illness. Using any medical background the therapist already has plus the knowledge given in this book, the therapist can expand the way a patient is treated. For example, massaging the feet can ease pain in the patient in other parts of the body. Detailed color photos give a vast amount of information."

As I read this book (from the library) I decided I just had to purchase it. It is the most right on book I have read on this subject thus far.

When my husband jokingly said (while he was struggling with intestinal things) "WHY DO MY HEELS HURT!?!" Sure enough it's connected to the intestines and the anus. (sorry, hope that isn't too graphic)

It has helped our family deal with eczema, colds, flus and much more. I had to purchase it after renewing it several times from the library!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Perfect Or Pretty, Just Plain Useful, December 15, 2007

I have had this book almost as long as I have been licensed as a massage therapist. I found it used in a local bookstore and chose it because it was more direct than the many books with the high quality photos, graphics and wordy explanations. This is not the only book to have, not everyones needs are the same in learning and if detailed instruction for the curious is needed there are other books. As I am in a practice I just need to get to what I need and this is it. This book comes from Europe where alternative medicine is medicine and massage is part of medicine. I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about acupressure, massage and reflexology and is a self care and/or health care provider. It's not perfect or pretty it's just the most useful.
