What could possibly be better than the first volume of this series? The second volume.
That's an unfair comparison, since all four volumes are actually one large collection of Erickson's talks on hypnosis over a very long career. Still, I remain in awe of what he can teach me about hypnosis in a throwaway line--of course, nothing Erickson said in hypnosis was ever that, exactly--and he does so over and over in this book, reaching across time to deepen my knowledge of trance, and of what's possible. Rossi's careful editorial additions are also quite valuable. The last-but-one section--a transcript of a demonstration session with commentary by Rossi--is a virtual gold mine of hypnotic knowledge all by itself. Difficult to give any of the Seminars, Lectures, etc. series too high a recommendation. If more stars were available to me, this book would get them all.

This book is so packed with information and the various different tactics that Erickson used in order to assist people to change that one would be hard pressed not to learn something.
Alot of what Erickson when over in this book greatly added to my understanding of human behavior and of the different methods that one may employ as a means of creating change. If you're gonna purchase this book just understand that it's packed with information from various seminars and workshops that Erickson gave over his career.
