5.0 out of 5 stars A Powerful Weapon Against Oppression, August 18, 2008

This review is from: Refugee Rights in Iran (Paperback)
This book is a must-have for those who are currently fighting against the oppression faced by Afghans living in Iran. Shirin Ebadi goes into great effort to detail the rights that, according to Iranian law, must be guaranteed to Afghan refugees: education, access to courts, marriage, social security, and right to property.
Aside from the numerous laws she lists from a variety of sources, she lists excerpts written from the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In addition, she provides appendices which contain detailed laws relating to the treatment/rights of refugees living in Iran.
This book cannot be argued with because it uses indisputable laws to back up every one of her statements. Thank you Shirin Ebadi for your efforts against xenophobia and oppression. I know that I will be referencing this book quite often.
