I bought this gate after reading reviews online for weeks. I have it only for a couple of months, but it looks well built and does not have obviously weak parts to break in the near future.

I have two doorways between the living room and the kitchen. I first bought an auto-close gate of another popular brand, it looked so beatuiful but I soon found the latch's too easy to shake open. You can imagine if a light weight gate can swing back and lock itself, how weak the lock feature has to be. I ended up tighting the gate to the point that nobody can open it. I cannot block both doorways like that, so I picked this gate for the other doorway.

I can open and close the gate with one hand while carrying my child in the other. My 18 month old (she is very tall an strong in her age group) cannot open the gate though she can reach the latch, because the latch is very tight. The gate is easy to install and stay in place well. After my child went to bed, I can keep the door open. The openning is narrow, but my husband and I have no problem going through (we are middle size, both at around 150 pounds).

This can be a PERFECT gate, but another mom's review about her child's hand got badly hurt by the tight latch concerns me. I tried myself and feel this type of event may not likely to happen but still possible. Anyway, the door is less dangerous than a regular door. While my child go through bedroom doors everyday and may get her fingers caught by those doors at any time (I need to child proof my doors soon), she rarely tries to go through this gate because she knows that she is not supposed to. I think I will train her to open the gate with both hands when she is old enough. Opening it with one hand is definitly more dangerous for children due to their less mature motor skills. This gate also has an extra tall version that may keep your children's fingers safe a little bit longer.

We bought this product for the bottom of our staircase, which is 54 inches wide. Not many companies offer wide pressure mounted gates and this one provides quite a bit of flexibility with 3 extensions provided. The product was easy to install - took 15 minutes and works great. Our daughter will be safe and we did not have to drill into our banister at both the bottom and top of our staircase.

We would definitely recommend this product.

Easy to set-up, effective for keeping my four dogs (medium-sized) from getting into places they shouldn't be. I have three of these gates in various places in my home.

We just purchased this gate to restrict our dog to the kitchen while we are out. We had hesitated to buy a gate because gates wide enough for our opening are not cheap, but from what I can tell about the quality of this gate, we should get our moneys worth. The gate feels like it is good quality and looks nice enough. It was easy to install, my husband's assistance made it easier but it can be done with one person. I like that it can be left open so that we (and the dog) can move freely between the rooms when we don't need to restrict her. The latch requires two steps to open it - pull to the side and then lift a lever up. This can be done with one hand, although you need a strong hand. The latch is the reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5. You can just not use the pull to the side part of the latch - therefore, you just lift up the lever to open and close the gate. This is great for our current use of the gate, but when our baby gets older, we are probably going to need it to be a little more secure than that. This just adds another step to opening and closing the gate - pull the latch to the side before opening, and press the lever down firmly after closing. It is not a big deal, but I can imagine it would be easy to forget when chasing after a toddler. The other gate we own self-latches, which is convenient. This gate also only opens one direction.

It is worth mentioning that our 55 lb dog does not attempt to jump over, push over, or otherwise get through either gate, so the strength of the latches have not really been tested. To the user who commented that a strong toddler could pull the gate over, it does come with cups to install the gate to the wall. I have not tried them but they may be worth trying to help with that problem.

It is incredible, It is working well and is stable. I had to order another extension because I did not double check my measurements. After I received the extension, it has performed great.

Easy to install. We don't use the wall mounts so that we can move in if need be and it hasn't budged an inch. Works great to keep our dogs out of the backrooms when we can't watch them.

the gate is very easy to install and well build. though the gate does not require drilling on the dry wall, door frame, or hand rails, the structure is sound when installed properly. my kid (13 month old) could not shake down the gate.

this was my first walk thru gate and im pleased with it. we use it for our 5 dogs,ranging from small to medium. we use it to keep them out of the kitchen and they hate it especially when we are eating dinner,they are missing out on scraps. the walk thru is plenty for us.

I bought this gate to keep our puppies in the living room. I used all the extensions since we have a large doorway, it went together quickly and I could do it on my own. I needed a walk-through gate because I'm too short to swing my legs over it and the door on this gate is perfect. The door is a little wider than most baby gate doors and it easily opens and swings. There is a little bar under the door when it's opened but I haven't triped over it yet.
I like the door handle on this gate because it's easy to open when you have full hands, but we haven't used the extra lock that it has. I could see how the extra lock could pinch little fingers like other reviews have said but we dont have any little fingers in the household yet :)
We have moved the gate to other doorways in the house with no problem. When we took off both extensions it fit perfectly in a normal sized doorway.
This is a great gate and I'm glad I bought it, if we need another one any time in the future this is the gate I'll be buying.

I purchased this to block off our hallway so that our dogs don't meander into the back rooms and do their terrorist things.
The gate latch is adjustable so that our 4 year old grandson can open it to get access to the bathroom when he remembers
to leave in time. It works well with older people who need the facilities as well. It looks good for not being a designer
gate.
