I chose this gate because I had a 73" gap I needed to gate off and this gate was suppose to "expand to 76 inches." Let me tell you in advance, it IS 76" and there is no adjusting that size to fit a smaller gap! It can bend at the joints to allow for smaller spaces, but that then cuts into your gated off area space.
It's strong and sturdy, but I don't really like the handle that opens the gate. It seems to scrape against the steel when opening and closing not really allowing easy and quick access.
Installation was quick and easy.

This gate is great, I have it in my kitchen to keep my pets in the kitchen and my opening is 67 inches wide and there is still plenty of room left to be extended if the need be. The only down fall of the gate is that the fasteners that fit into the wall are plastic, but very happy with the gate.

I bought my gate for a 13month old and at first it worked great...
Now about 5 months later the gate is broken...
The gate is advertised as having "sturdy and durable all steel construction" but that just isn't true...
The gate in fact has hard plastic pieces at the corners and that is where mine broke...in 2 places at the very same time...
This is very depressing for me since now my 18month old does not have a safe area to play in...
I would not have bought this gate had I known it would only last 5 months...
Buyer BEWARE...this gate is NOT durable!

It isn't the most sturdiest of fences but worth the money. My little 20 month old used to try and shake it and it withstood it when she was 13-15 months old, now she no longer shakes it. It has broke a couple of times (wife and I both ran into it, and plastic top parts cracked and broke, but I am engineer and I quickly rearranged the fence and fixed it with a little ingenuity. I liked it for the cost, and worth it in my opinion...just don't ram into at a jog/run rate trying to disarm home alarm... you will probably break most fences doing that, at least this fence allowed me to rearrange the broken parts to be closest to wall mount and used circular tube clamp to secure that end to strongly secured wall end.

My two year old twins figured out the latch in about 2 minutes. I had to use another locking device to lock it, and then climb over. Also, the hinges are plastic, so they broke a hinge within a month. I had to use another baby lock to secure the hinge area. I have still been able to use this out of desperation, but it is peiced together with other baby locks!!

Given that it's hard to find similar items for less money (I paid $50) and equal or better quality, this is a good gate.
My only complaint is that the screws it came with are not even worth providing. You will need to use your own.

gate was a great price and it fits our extra-wide door way. It works well for babies, but the 2 yo & 3 yo can open it with ease and it doesn't seem strong enought for them. We had to set a rule right away that they can't lean on it, or else it would probably come out of the wall. The latch is akward to do with one hand as well, but in general it works for my purposes and it was cheap.

This gate looked really good on the website and was perfect for our needs. The price was also considerably a lot more cheaper than any other flexible walk-through gates. However, this item seemed like it was already used when we first opened it because of several noticeable scratches and dirt. We were also disappointed by the fact that it's not solid or sturdy at all. Sure it's frame is made out of metal but the hinges and the supports to the wall are made out of plastic and are very loosen. Another disappointing fact is that a 2 year-old child was able to easily open the gate in just minutes with no effort. Due to especial configurations in the door this serves our purposes but by no means it's the most secure item you could ever use.

I have had this gate for about two weeks now and I love it! It looks great with my beige carpet and I don't mind it being out with company because it doesn't look cheap. I have an odd angle into my kitchen and this gate fits great, it was super easy to put up (it only took my about ten minutes). It has held up to my two year old shaking it and my dog jumping over it nicely. however, it does have some flaws. The latch is a little hard to open (you actually have to start wearing down the medal on the gate) and it would be a lot better if it swung closed (it is hard to close it when you have dishes in your hands). also you can extend it, but it doesn't fit into smaller spaces, so make sure your space is wide enough before you buy. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, but for the price it is a great gate.

This fence was exactly what I needed. I don't think it would be good for small children who are already walking but for keeping pets out of one part of the house, it is great. The only problem we have had is that the supports against the wall seem to loosen. The main thing for me is that it works and looks nice too.
