This is another Tight cd from this reggae series. If anyone doesn't know about the reggae gold series this is a good place to start. Well, 97 is where you should really start but 98 is just as tight. Best songs are:

Tell me-beenie man---remix to sru hills tell me but he makes it into his own with this. Pump this in the stero and ride!

Heads High--vegas--This is another one. U can pump this too but at the same time it's a concious one for the ladies tellin them to keep their heads high and don't go down the ferak way.

Luciano--sweep over my soul---a smooth track

red rat--tight up skirt---This is one voice u can't forget or mistake. he;s new but he got a style that always ends with..."Oh no! " tight track

13:This is one going out to the drag-queens saying that men don't dress like girls. might offend some but tight beat.

16--track from livingston and shabba. This is a tight one and brings u back to the days shabba used to be on top. Track about not following what everybody else might sya when u are in a relationship. Tight!

Overall this is a good cd. don't sleep on this cd. This is a msut have for your reggae and if u never lsitened to reggae before?/..this is a good reason to start trying.

It's difficult to comment on just the best tracks because this album is packed with 16 of Jamaica's top artists & sounds. Though somewhat laid-back, Sean Paul's style on 'Infiltrate' somehow grows on you. Of course, using Beenie Man's 'Who Am I' riddim of yesterday didn't hurt much either. Speaking of Beenie, he once again displays why he is Jamaica's most wanted dj today with his 'Tell Me' track. Other must-hear-djs include Mr. Vegas (Heads High), Red Rat (Tight Up Skirt), and the ever-popular Degree with his sing- song serenade style on 'Boom Boom'. For the lovers, Beres Hammond drops 'Hold On,' adding to his collection of top hits. Since becoming a Rastafarian, Buju Banton seems to have changed his lyrical style without sacrificing direction. Buju's 'Destiny' is also a lover's hit while Luciano continues his impressive efforts with 'Sweep Over My Soul.' It seems like each year, Reggae Gold drops a winner making it reign over all other reggae compilation albums.
