A true greatest hits. From their first 3 albums.,

As much as I love their third album, Reggae Fever (aka Caught You) this album is equally strong. It has the very best songs of the very best part of their career. After their first four albums, the fourth being True Democracy albums released from 1978 through 1982, the band slowly loses a step over the years. In fact, on their album Vex they actually fall right off track merging reggae with a discoish, which they just don't pull off. Probably, by definition, it's impossible to merge the two.
I can listen to this album any time. Every single song is enjoyable. Their first 3 album hits all are well written, strong reggae songs that do not sound like the typical more slow, slightly sleep inducing sound that many reggae bands have. This band's sound is more lively and dancable (with zero discoish flavor on all but the Vex album). For my tastes STEEL PULSE and BAD BRAINS, when they play reggae songs (which is about half the time) are the two most enjoyabout reggae groups I've ever heard because both are more peppy and upbeat while still being very reggae sounding and lyrically both bands are also very true to their religious beliefs. STEEL PULSE also writes some songs that are spectacularly political. You cannot go wrong buying this album. chrisbct@hotmail.com

Very much like Bob Marley, this is a great album with such greats as "soundsystem" and "drug squad". I highly recommend this to anyone who digs reggae, whether you are very much into it or are a rookie. The lyrics are great to just sit back and listen to them.
