Book Description

September 26, 2007
What would you do if you found out magic was real and Faeries co-existed with the human world, beyond your vision but within your reach? Better yet, what if you had once been a part of that world without knowing it, and now they wanted you back? On their thirteenth birthday, Reggie & Ryssa's world is turned upside down. As a part of the conditions for their foster placement, the twins are now required to start attending yearly summer camp. Worse, they have to spend time with relatives who hadn't wanted them in the first place. Instead of finding answers about who they are, Reggie & Ryssa keep finding more questions. Are they the twins of darkness and light foretold by prophecy? What is causing the Wilt that is eating away at the magical barrier that separates Faery from the world of mortals? Who is responsible for the deaths and disappearances of the potentials, dwindling the numbers who could save Faery? Of course they find your average, everyday magic wands, talking books and Brownies that you never see, but always get your household chores done for you. But what is that compared to doom and gloom prophecies, disappearing Team members and dark magic attacks? It's an adventure-filled summer in the World of Faery!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book for Kids and Fantasy lover's alike!, May 17, 2006
I started reading this book, thinking I'd check it out and see if it was something I'd let me kids read - and I couldn't put it down. Ended up staying up late one night reading it, because I couldn't put it down. My daughter (18) and my son (12) both loved the book, and it is appropriate for kids of all ages...including the grown up kids, like me! LOL

I highly recommend it to anyone...but especially to parents who want to get their kids interested in reading again - or for a first time. My son is ADHD and doesn't like to sit still long enough to read, but he always loved the HP books - this one held his attention just as well as the HP books did...that's hard to do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Harry Potter has just been one-upped., August 1, 2006
Just when the Potter books were getting to dark for me, here comes a breath of fresh air in the fantasy world of Faery. As the other reviewers stated above, I also caught the, "I can't put the book down" bug. Having lived in Florida since the late 50's and weathered many storms; Bo Savino weaves a tale that had me believing the Land Of Faery truly turns Hurricanes away from Tampa when possible. Considering I am showing my age, this is a testament that Reggie & Ryssa and the Summer Camp of Faery is for all ages.
So Bo, where is the next book? We can't wait!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read Book, May 19, 2006
Delightful & witty...a great book to take you away to another world for just long enough that you'll feel sorry to leave. I can't wait for the next book to revisit the world of Faery...an incredible read for both kids and adults. The first book in a series that left me both satisfied at the ending and yet still wanting more!
