Pulse Pounding Power, July 12, 2003
By A Customer
I just got the promo of Regressus and now I wish I had gotten the regular CD. Regressus is incredible Power Metal Excellence. On a scale of amazons' 1 to 5 it is a 10. No keys here my friend. Just rippin power/ heavy/speed Metal. Lyrically it is very aggressive as well. Comparisons could be made musically to bands like Iced Earth (at their best) and Gus G,s other band Firewind. But Regressus takes it to a more powerful higher level. And the production is over the top. The sound these guys got on this one will punish you. As Arnold would say "If you do not listen.... Then the He** with You".

AWESOME POWER METAL, WITH A HEAVY EDGE!!!, February 21, 2005
This CD is absolutley awesome, its power metal to the core, the lyrics are ferocious and the songs are well aranged.
-The singer is really talented and consistant, he also manages not to sound like a woman when he hits those high notes!!(no offence to other PM bands, it goes with the territory!)
-The guitar work is genuinley awesome, with great melodies and riffs that leave u feeling like youve just been hit in the face repeatedley, but for some reason it feels really, really good!!
-the drummer sometimes adds fills (or tries to) that are a bit too extravagant, and are faster than the song requires, but he is none the less awesome!!, i play drums so i know just how hard it is to play what is here on this album! he is one hell of a double kick player!!!, brill!
-Bass player is steady, not given much room for expression but adds neat fills and is clearly heard, (something which is disappearing in metal)
I am a massive Power Metal/Metal fan, my tastes range from Hammerfall(awesome), blind guardian(awesome!), iced earth(awesome!), rhapsody(awesome!), and of course the daddies of power metal, ManOwaR(All Hail). to Megadeth, pantera, iron maiden, machinehead, G n R, pre 1994 metallica, testament, Mushroomhead, Lordi, Saxon, Anthrax and others. My taste in metal/rock, has quite a spectrum, this band will make a excellent addition to my collection. I reccommend all of the above, every album is further proof of metals dominance and superiority over other 'NU', and 'RAP METAL' genres, 'DEATH TO FALSE METAL!'(ManOwaR, gods of metal)

Great Album!!!, November 22, 2004
Ok yes we have heard this before...Honestly nothing new true...But honestly the cd is quite impressive...Hey the guys have Gus G axing those guitars...The vocals are quite good and memorable...The music is strong, well written and very well executed...Just listen to the first 3 tracks specially Lords of Pain...What an intro...After that song the cd follows basically the same path of hard edge power metal...If you like a better version of Brainstorm go ahead and buy this cd...
