Rather than go wordy, I'll do like this album and keep it simple. This is just plain good music! No frills, nothing more than needed except for excellent musicianship and vocals. "Respect Yourself", to me is worth the price of the whole album but it is all so solid and listenable. I have tickets to see/hear them April 24th and can't wait!

For those who have a broken heart or are mourning your romantic loss, this is the remedy !!! Randy takes you on the journey from the first awareness that it is over... to giving you permission to cry...""after all there is no one to notice ". Joe plays with a down home grittiness that allows you to cry and mourn. At the end of the cd, you will have begun to heal. Just FABULOUS !!

What a combination, Joe Sample and Randy Crawford. It does not get much better than that. I love Randy's sultry voice and coupled with one of the greatest piano players -- remember the CRUSADERS -- JAZZ CRUSADERS!! I had the pleasure of hearing the two of them live a few years ago when they came to Fort Worth and still remember that show. This CD brings back those memories. I especially like the way they do some of the old standards; and the rendition of "No Regrets" is simply awesome!!
