I first bought a racing wheel for Gran Tourismo 4 on the PS2 but was quickly disappointed when I attached it to the coffee table and I couldn't get my legs under the table to work the pedals and my back hurt from hunching over.
For Forza Motorsports 3 I decided to buy this wheel stand and so far I am very happy with it. I bought it with the xbox wheel adapter, and while I was unsure when I was assembling it whether it would be sturdy enough against the force feedback of the wheel, all my fears were quickly allayed. The kit also came with two small screws to fasten the pedals onto the pan at the bottom, making the whole setup one peice of equipment. This is great because when I'm done racing , I fold up the pedal pan and put the stand, wheel, pedals and all in the closet upright and out of the way and all I have to unplug is the power cord. The stem of the main tube (right behind the wheel) has 3 length settings and the pedal pan has 3 height settings. I am 6'2" and this stand fits me. I am pretty thin, so the width of the lap bars is fine for me (18") but, as I have a long torso, I do wish the height of the lap bars were higher or adjustable on the normal stand (i believe they are on the big boy) as it is only 8". But overall it is a sturdy, well-made piece of equipment and it definitely completes the racing experience.

I highly recommend the wheel stand. It is extremely well built, and there is nothing flimsy about the stand at all. It is very comfortable to use when racing on a couch and when done racing, folds up nicely. When I attached my wheels and pedals, I was amazed to see how secured everything felt, even when bringing the unit in and out of storage.

This wheels stand really completes the racing experience without requiring additional furniture. Congrats to the team that made this stand!

The Regular Xlerator Wheel Stand W/Xbox 360 Adapter does its job pretty well. It manages to keep my xbox steering wheel setup nice and neat in the corner of my apartment by folding upright. When its game time it folds into a nice comfortable position and I no longer have to worry about balancing the wheel on my lap and the pedals. My only criticism would be that the pedals do slip on the pedal stand a little bit. I'm trying to find a good way to secure the pedals. Also there was a horrible rubber toxic smell from the stoppers that took a few weeks to go away. I had to also get creative with the cable management. For the money and the function of the device I feel like it is still a great value for serious forza heads.

the steering wheel i also purchased from amazon,doesnt fit on it...ty gary i'lll find something to use it for. I guess amazon wants me to advertise fore them now....put it together but the steering wheel doesnt match up...

This is a well made quality wheel stand. I got this for my Microsoft wheel and it works great. I can play all my racing games on the couch in comfort and it definitely improved my performance.

It's a little expensive but not as bad as those big racing chairs that take up a lot of room. It's worth it if you play a lot of racing games.

Pros: relatively small, sturdy, works well.

Cons: pricey, assemble yourself.

The stand is awesome, pretty easy to install and works great. Only negative comment was that it took nearly 1 month for it to arrive.

First, the rubber feet on this item stink. They smell terrible and make the room smell terrible. I've given them a couple of months to air out before posting, but they still stink. Must be cheap Chinese rubber. I think I have to replace them and toss them out. They look just like old people walker/crutch bumpers so it might not be too hard to find them in a better material.

I like the general design, but I think it could be executed better for better stability. There is too much play in the works. Some parts are over engineered and some under engineered. That the manual shows you how to drill holes in the item to improve stability is an issue I think.

It's better than nothing for sure. I hope they work towards some improvements for future revisions.

The quality of this item, and the packaging in which it was shipped are both excellent. It folds down a little, but is not as compact as we'd hoped. Had to return the item, but only due to space restrictions, otherwise we would have kept it.
