Fantastic!!! Get entire album on Amazon UK,

Amy Winehouse has a fantastic sound, and I'd bet that when people hear her they are going to love her. When I first heard her song Rehab on IMF, I only heard the last half of the song, but I scrambled to write down her name and search out her albums(there are two). She was so funky, so cool, her voice so smokey and captivating. She has an infectous sound, and she really stands out as someone doing something very different from the other folks getting airtime. I am amazed that her albums haven't had a US release, and seem to only be available in the UK. Even Itunes only has one song (in several versions)available to purchase (it's the current weekly freebie Jan 07). I found her albums on the amazon.uk site, and I was thrilled that it only took six little days to ship them from the UK to Oregon.
Now that I have the albums, I'm turning on all my friends and neighbors to Amy Winehouse's fabulous, retro groove, and everyone who hears her seems to really like her sound. The songs are very catchy, easy to listen to, and seem to appeal to both women and men, young and old, and to fans of hip hop as well as the alternative and classic rock listeners. Ordering from amazon.uk has been absolutely painless. When I did my first international order, I was a bit concerned about how the exchange rate thing would work because the prices on the uk site are expressed in pounds. My apprehension was groundless- I used my visa card to make the purchase, and the charges were figured out at a favorable rate. You can pretty much figure that the price in US dollars will be about double what is listed in pounds. Also, the shipping is not free with a $25 purchase like it is when ordering within the US, but the shipping prices are very reasonable, and they don't charge a fortune extra to ship it overseas. I also ordered two other albums that are not available here in the US, and my total shipping bill was about $12 for the four cds. Kudos to Amy Winehouse! I look forward to watching her achieve the recognition that she deserves. Both albums are great, and their spunky sound deserves to be recognized.

This is a great, great single. I'll admit that I wasn't sure if Amy Winehouse was for real, when I first saw her on David Letterman a few weeks ago. In fact, I thought it was a burlesque act at first. The combination of the beehive hairstyle, multiple tattoos and smoky vocals had me thrown for a loop. Amy Winehouse is fantastic though! This is like a throwback to the 1960s, except her attitude is definitely contemporary and I love it. The lyrics are completely over the top and this woman has more soul in her little finger than most artists, today have in their entire body......Amy's the greatest. My prediction is that she'll be nominated for several Grammies next year. If not, the Academy can't recognize talent if it hit them straight between the eyes......

Good music, but it took a long time to arrive and then there were only 3 songs on the disc. The description doesn't say that anywhere that I saw!

Yes, You've Been Bad, But Good,

There really hasn't been enough authentic soul & R&B this past year. Although it has actually been very unfortunate, there are few that really have delivered. Amy Winehouse is one of them this year. Her soulful style captures the Bluesy sophistication that hasn't been heard since Etta James. Rehab, the second single from her debut record, Back To Black, is a very down to Earth song that is gritty and brings out a feeling of classic music that has been widely overlooked in favor of Beyonce, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. I think Amy has a voice that has to be recognized right now. I can't wait to hear what her next single has in store.

I thought I was downloading the version on "Rehab" that has been played on the radio. I did not like the rapping by JAY-Z. I am not a fan of rap. If you want the original version of "Rehab" look for the album "Back to Black".

Recently, I received an IPod, a gift from my grandchildren. Obviously, I am not of the younger generation and I have been trying to understand the music of the younger generation. Years ago I was turned on by Janis and have gone from there. Now, I heard Amy Winehouse and she is a close second to Janis. Yes, grandma is definately wired.

No,no,no! I love Amy Winehouse. Great writer and singer but this was highly disappointing. This contains only 3 songs, none of which are done well. A let down.

I was interested in Amy Winehouse's song REHAB because like a large percentage of Americans, I am fond of drink. Only I WENT to rehab when they told/forced me to go and I don't remember how many times I have been and I know it's sad I make a joke about it but if I took my life seriously I would jump off a cliff!! Anyway, Amy's song is funny to those who have had any experience in rehab and probably to those who haven't. It's got a good beat like "Back To Black." I reccommend this one.
