What an experience!,

Reign of Fire is a fantastic game! It has great graphics and intense gameplay. The developers have created a fantastic sense of battlefield carnage and chaos against marauding dragons. In latter levels, YOU get to be a marauding dragon! There are some things you need to know about the controls, which has gotten some bad press. The default is "simple" control configuration. Change this before you even start playing! In this configuration, you aim AND steer with the left thumbstick, and accelerate and decelerate with A and B. The right thumbstick does nothing. We will get nowhere with this set-up. On the other hand, the "advanced" set-up steers with the left thumbstick, and aims with the right. This makes the controls very intuitive. Another thing you might want to do is turn down the auto-aim to zero. Otherwise, the aiming cursor does a lot of drifting, which can be very annoying and make it more difficult. I have very few complaints about the game. The dialogue can get quite repetitive at time, such as when you are not in the spot you need to be. You hear the same sentence repeated multiple times.

Fantastic game for a fantastic film,
This review is from: Reign of Fire (Video Game)
Hahahaha! Burn humans! That's what you may end up screaming when you play this game. Fantastic graphics, combined with great gameplay make this a brilliant game. Some nice touches, including the very good fire effects. Best aspect: playing as the dragons. Fly around. Pick up people, give them a lift to 300 ft, and then...drop them. Or throw them. Hahahaha! Or....yup. Napalm breath. Burn them. Have fun when you get this game. And you will get it.

Let the fire reign...,

This is an incredibly awesome game. It's hectic, challenging, and a lot of fun. When I just need to wind down, nothing takes it off like shooting down evil creatures (or pesky humans) that are trying to make you exinct.
The game starts with the human missions. These follow the movie very closely. The missions range in their objectives, usually reguiring you to protect or escort a group of other vehicles. The game takes about to the third level before you really get the hang of things. Once you can keep from dying to much, it's really fun. Your rockets and such some in limited quantities, but there's never any reason for your finger to leave the minigun. This game truly throws you into the role of a dragon fighter as you battle to keep yourself and your race alive. Part of the way through the game, the dragon missions become available. These arae a bit less challenging, but a LOT of fun. You are the undisputed scourge of the skies, and tanks, harriers, choppers, battleships, towers, and trains will all fall before your fire breathing might. The game has great replay value for a few reasons. After completing a mission, you will recieve a rank and a medal. You can range from no medal, to bronze, silver, gold, and last, platinum. These are awarded based on enemies destroyed, allies destroyed, hit percentage and the like. Trying to get the higher medals is challenging even for very experienced gamers. As well as that, half the fun is just riding around in a tank (or a jeep, a buggy, or a firetruck) and blowing things out of the sky. Even throwing some fireballs down on human armaments is good for some fun. Over all, this is an excellent game, and I highly recommend it. But, for anybody who this would bother, some mild language like "He**" and "Dam*" are in the game, being spoken very rarely by some of your teammates.
