An Excellent History,
By Evelyn Hoffester "Eve" (VA, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Reign of King Henry VI (Sutton History Paperbacks) (Paperback)
This is one of the best biographies I have ever read, period. The book is cut up into different sections such as the King's household, court, queen, character, etc. Therefore it doesn't completely go in a consistent timeline, but for research purposes that is actually extremely helpful. The biography goes in-depth better than any other book on Henry VI out there and also holds great information on his wife, Margaret of Anjou, and the many lords who paraded about his court, including the less well-known one's.I can't say enough good things about this book and it's well worth the money of anyone who loves the English monarchy, the Wars of the Roses, or Henry VI. |
