This cd contains tracks written by Chastain lead singer Leather Leone (Rude Girl and Malibu Barbi and Sledge Leather just being formed).The tracks are from Chastain cds 7th of Never,Voice of the Cult and For Those Who Dare.Leather was lead singer for Rude Girl and quit.She was introduced to David T. Chastain by Mike Varney (Shrapnel Records).She did a demo and was on both Shrapnel releases Mystery of Illusion and Ruler of The Wasteland.Chastain left Shrapnel and formed Leviathan Records.He released 7th of Never,Voice of the Cult and For Those Who Dare.The tracks on this cd are songs written by Leather on these three releases.You can also hear her on the previous two Shrapnel releases.Mystery of Illusion also has 17 or 18 year old Cinderella drummer Fred Coury.Chastain after For Those Who Dare had no plans.Leather tryed to get hooked up with another band but it was the time Grunge music hit and ruined metal music.Lots of bands disappeared and it was a bad time to move somewhere else.Leather disappeared for 20 years.Now she is back with Sledge Leather. I was so glad to hear her making a comeback.At the time she sang in Chastain there were few women metal singers fronting bands.I truly think she helped pave the way for those female singers today.This cd of 80's metal with guitar great David T. Chastain are a great example of a great frontperson.She made 5 cds with Chastain and I love every one of them.She was the first female metal singer I ever heard and by far the best.You can find more info on Leather and Chastain at Leviathan Records website.Thanks Leather and I hope that comeback succeeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
