Book Description

Aberrant July 6, 2000
Behold, the Quantum Beast
Shrouded in a miasma of Terr music, demon worship and drugs, the self-styled cultists of ReignofEvil.com proclaim their deviant beliefs to the world, and reap a crop of nave young nova-worshippers. Sweet innocence is always ripe for the harvest.
And Despair!
Clothed in make-up, mysticism and black leather, the rebels at ReignofEvil.com are part counterculture, part cult and part unfolding melodrama. Aligned with neither Project Utopia nor the Teragen, these unholy novas are an extremist faction all their own. Theyre playing the devils tune. Care to dance?

More About the Author

SatyrPhil Brucato, aka Phil Brucato, Satyros, or just plain Satyr, sold his first professional story to Marion Zimmer Bradley's Sword & Sorceress IX anthology in 1990. During White Wolf's "classic WOD" period, he co-created the Mage, Sorcerers Crusade, Werewolf, Changeling and Vampire: Dark Ages lines, contributing to over 80 books for the Wolf. The next decade saw him author Deliria: Faerie Tales for a New Millennium, Everyday Heroes, Goblin Markets: The Glitter Trade, and popular columns for Realms of Fantasy, Witches & Pagans, and NewWitch magazine.

Satyr's fiction has appeared in Weird Tales, Steampunk Tales, a slew of collections, and the Bad-A$$ Fairies series. Recently, he co-edited the benefit collection Ravens in the Library, founded Silver Satyr Studios, and produced the webcomic series Arpeggio. An occasional hiker, avid dancer and constant reader, Satyr lives in Seattle with his partner Sandra Buskirk, two ragdoll cats, and a snake named Silk.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Devil Made Me Do it..., August 26, 2000
This review is from: ReignofEvil.com (Aberrant) (Paperback)
Ever see those skinny social misfits with thir hair died black, face full of piercings and a heart full of bitterness who never seem to catch a break? Pretty sad huh? Now what if that poor kid who's probably been picked on all his life could burn you to a cinder just by looking at you or break you in half with his bare hands?

That's the idea of this book. A group of angry social misfits with the power of gods, or in their case devils. Posuer satanists with a growing legion of disenfranchised kids who obey their every command. If it weren't for their power and influence they'd be a joke. Most of them are stupid, socially inept or just plain crazy, but the fact they are so powerful and have no loyalties, not even to each other make them dangerous.

The coolest thing about this book is that we've all known people like this or even BEEN people like this. Born losers who can't catch a break from the world at large so they reject it and turn their outcast image into a badge of honor. Considering the type of people who play RPG's, this might hit pretty close to home.

As we saw with the Columbine shootings, just because someone is pathetic, doesn't mean they're not dangerous. This book takes that principle and applies it to the Aberrant universe. Imagine if the Trenchcoat Mafia could call lightning from the sky, bend steel with their minds or basically bring hell to earth? Pretty scary huh?
