I believe that all children posses an innate sense of curiosity, wonder and imagination. From the head (in their intellect) to the heart (in their spiritual and emotional) to their hands (in their physical), the whole child is a wonderful and pure being capable of performing Reiki on him or herself and on others. Being involved in a method which is universal love, a child gains a connection to his peers, to nature and to the world around him. He learns to look within when problems arise and to be more aware of his actions and feelings, and their effect on the world. Our goal is to inspire and motivate each child's creative forces from within; to lead the child to a balanced development of clear and precise thought, a rich and healthy inner emotional life, and a developed power of will which will allow worthy application of his or her thoughts and feelings to the practical challenges in today's world. This book is a complete resource to introduce the benefits of Reiki to children.

Dr. Kytka Hilmar-Jezek, or "Kit", as her friends affectionately call her, is dedicated to assisting you harness your full potential. Out of these experiences her son Zachary Alexander Jezek's first book, written at age 10 called "My Journey To Becoming a Mayan Shaman" was born. Following their lead, her two daughters Zynnia & Zanna have their own blog as well, called Sisters To Success. As a Fourth Level Reiki Master I was skeptical about teaching a four year old Reiki. However after reading "Reiki For Children" and seeing the children who trained from this book in action, my skepticism disappeared and I honor these wonderful children for a job well done. Kytka Jezek is a gentle, sensitive and feminine guide through the initial steps for the practice of Reiki. This book is a wonderful intro for children (and adults) to the world of Reiki.
The entire book is truly a well thought out volume. My 12 year young son and I so enjoyed her whimsical explanation of the chakras and the meditations are, yes, absolutely a magical transport.
